Week 6 3-3 10

They win their last regular season win and finish at .500 on the season. They won 3 of their last 4 and it looks like they have a flow to their game going. Their first round matchup is a date with Istanbul, a team that’s had it’s own struggles throughout the season. This is one of those interesting matchups that can really go either way. Alexandria can get hot quickly though, and they will need to if they plan on beating Istanbul and that wonderful team chemistry they’ve exhibited all season long.

Week 5 2-3 10

This one was going to be a shootout and they came prepared. Unfortunately, it still wasn’t enough to beat the red hot Lahore team and their offense. Hassan, Mohammad, and Mahdi combined for 51 but they needed more to take on a Lahore squad that scores 60 on a weekly basis. Next week they take on a young, confused Riyadh squad. Really difficult to tell how this one will turn out as both teams have a problem with consistency, but a win would be great for confidence heading into the playoffs.

Week 4 2-2 8

Shot very efficiently from the field and came up with an impressive win handing Cordoba their first loss of the season. This team is dangerous when Mahdi and Jahanzaib are feeling it from the field finishing with 19 & 15 points respectively. Next week they are definitely going to need that same offensive productivity against a Lahore team that can destroy you on offense, should be a high scoring game.

Week 3 1-2 10

Close game early on but used a run late in the game to push away and come away with the big win. Mahdi Masri finally found his stroke finishing with 19 & 7. Definitely needed this win to get them back on track but things look to only get harder from here with a matchup against an undefeated Cordoba squad awaiting them after the bye week. Cordoba has been an offensive powerhouse so far this season so Alexandria’s going to need to play their best basketball to have a chance at pulling this one off.

Week 2 0-2 12

Another rough outing for this team. Took them too long to put together a decent run to get back into the game and when they finally did time ran out. Much more equal scoring this time around and they did get their shots to start falling in the second half. This team has the talent, they just haven’t been able to execute for a full game which has hurt them. Next week they play a Palermo squad that’s coming off their first win of the season. If they can get their shot going early this could be the game that turns their season around.

Week 1 0-1 12

Shot pretty poorly against a fast paced Dhaka team and couldn’t match their talent. Had trouble grabbing boards and settled for a lot of jump shots. Rough way to start off the season; next week they take on a hot Granada team that was all over the scoreboard and had a plethora of boards. Unless they change their game plan they can be staring at at an 0-2 hole.

Preseason 0-0 12

“I’m coming home”, the three word text Mohammad Masri sent to the players tribune this offseason as he decided to return to make a return to his home city after enjoying much success under the Mombasa dynasty. This team has a bunch of new players so not really much to base them off of though they do have some proven scorers like Mahdi and Jahanzaib who have been on a hiatus from the league and are making a return this summer. We’ll see what the new guys can bring to the team come week 1.
