New Jersey (North): Granada (D2)
Power Ranking By Week | |||
WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 6 | 4-2 | 5 | Tough loss to Lahore to end the season. They take on Sana’a in the first round who has played in some close games and some blowout games. If Granada plays to its’ full potential they should be able to take this one. |
Week 5 | 4-1 | 4 | This one got out of hand early and Granada cruised for another win. The Omars Muhanad and Billal combined for 65 points, a performance they will need to reenact next week they take on the offensive powerhouse in Lahore. Like Cordoba and Dhaka, only one of these teams will advance to 5-1 while the other falls to 4-2 which will mean something in playoff standing implications. This should be a fun offensive game to watch. |
Week 4 | 3-1 | 5 | This game was over before it even started, literally. |
Week 3 | 2-1 | 5 | Disappointing game out of this young squad. Expected more out of them and Dhaka but neither team had any player scoring in double digits, was really a hard game to watch. They’ve seen better days though and they take on a struggling Palermo squad after the bye week, they’re going to have to come out hungry and make sure they give everything they got. |
Week 2 | 2-0 | 4 | Great win last week holding back a fierce Alexandria comeback in the second half. The offense was there but the defense needs to step it up so they don’t have anymore scares like this week. Next week they take on a rolling Dhaka squad, like I said this one should be good. |
Week 1 | 1-0 | 5 | I stand corrected saying this team was a small ball team. Muhanad Deeb finished with a monster game dominating the glass and finishing with 25&18. Tack on some impressive stats from newcomer Ramy Abukwaik and Omar Singer and its no wonder they put up a high scoring game. Next week they take on an Alexandria squad that didn;t have a great shooting performance last week, unless Alexandria improves their shooting percentage Granada can be looking at an early 2-0 start as well. |
Preseason | 0-0 | 6 | The Golden State Warriors tried to revolutionize the NBA by bringing in the concept of ‘small ball’. Can it win you games? Yes. Can it win you a championship? Results may vary. This team has added a small handful of guards to their line-up that are proven scorers and have left their prints on the floor for their respected teams without really focusing too much on size. Not saying I have anything against this just saying I’m excited to see just how it will work out. My prediction, I think if they do pull it off, it could be very scary. |
