Week 7 5-2 6

New additions Zain and Idris didn’t waste any time when it came to making their imprint on this squad. Zain led the team in points, rebounds, and assists. Idris did his usual work from the great beyond and Ameer averages 15 points in his sleep. It’s been a while since Dhaka was hold that MB trophy, is this the year? I guess we will find out soon enough. Recap: The most underappreciated Big is Salman. I think he could easily average 12 and 10 if he really wanted to, but he does all the little things that don’t necessarily show up on the box score.

Week 6 5-1 7

Ameer, Idris and Zain, the 3 headed monster behind the well-oiled machine that is Dhaka. Can this be the season, they return to playoff glory? Perhaps, but they have a Beirut squad coming off a bye week.

Week 5 4-1 5

Zain with 22 and 10, Ameer added 17 of his own and they locked up Sana’a playmakers. We usually do not associate defense with Dhaka, but this year’s group is different. Mairaj gets a crack at his old squad this week.

Week 4 3-1 6

REVENGE! Zain gave his old squad the business with 20 and 10 and got the oh so desired W. Dhaka reminds me of those 2000s Detroit Piston teams. Collection of guys that know their roles, play hard and are always in contention for a championship. Not sure who would be the Rasheed Wallace of the squad and yell at the refs, but that’s basically the whole league.

Week 3 2-1 8

Tough loss after being up double digits heading into the half. Not sure what went wrong but they have a very favorable matchup against Granada this week.

Week 2 2-0 4

Honestly not sure how the committee approved Zain and his over 9000 MBR to join Dhaka. A walking double double and he even brought a friend in Idris over to Dhaka, who by the way hit 5 three pointers. Good luck guarding a lineup of Zain, Idris, Fahad, Ameer and insert whoever else here.

Week 1 1-0 6

Stealing Zain and Idris from Granada was criminal as the two combined for 30 points. This ain’t your older brother’s Dhaka team. But then again if they have not been the same since they lost Farzad. But hey they got the Week 1 dub.
