Week 7 4-3 7

6 points. 6 points away from being a top 3-5 team but instead they are number 11 in the standings (can’t forget the forfeit). Himey needs a promotion for bringing Brandon Steward back to MB, as he led this squad in points, assists, and steals. Malik had a career season after a few down years and Sal finished second in the league in 3PM per game. They have 4 guys averaging at least 12 points per game. The detriment to this team may be their awful foul shooting, as they are dead last. Recap: Sal is the x-factor for this team to have a deep playoff run and that starts with Dhaka in the 1st round. If he gets it going from 3 early, that will only open things for the other two guards.

Week 6 3-3 9

Two losses by 3 points each and 1 forfeit. These guys are essentially 6 points away from being a top 3-4. Tough matchup against a Tripoli team that can light it up. Revenge game for Sal, let’s hope Medina can gather the troops this time around.

Week 5 3-2 8

Coming off a tough loss in overtime, this team couldn’t afford another meltdown. Malik led all scorers with 22 and Sal and Stew had 19 and 18, respectively. The three guards also combined for 11-23 from the 3-point line. Let’s see how they prevail against an angry Beirut squad.

Week 4 2-2 8

Another tough loss for Commissioner Himey and his squad. They saw a comfortable lead vanish before their eyes and losing in sudden death overtime is never easy. Their guards need to execute better down the stretch. Malik and Sal have been inconsistent from three thus far and must perform better if they want to take some of the pressure off Brandon Steward. With Lahore coming in next, Medina needs a win if they want to be considered among the elite.

Week 3 2-1 5

Brandon Stew with 26 5 and 5 looking like a young James Harden. They probably had the most difficult schedule thus far and it continues against the 3-0 Sana’a squad. There’s going to be a whole lot of shooting on display come Thursday.

Week 2 1-1 8

Not sure who saw this one coming. They were able to limit Palermo’s transition baskets and forced them into jump shots. Brandon Landfair with 10 and 18 and is leading rebounder so far. Malik and Sal have been impressive so far and once Brandon Stew gets back in the lineup that will only create more opportunities. Playing against the league’s best this week, let’s see what Commissioner Himey and his crew are made of.

Week 1 0-1 11

Lost their point guard and best scorer but held their own. Surrendering a 12-point half-time lead isn’t going to bode well with commissioner Himey. Very difficult schedule moving forward.
