Game predictions
Muslim Basketball Game Predictions Game predictions are just one man's opinion.
Regular Season Week 2
Cairo vs Cordoba (Court 1 @ 9pm) Cordoba was firing on all cylinders in week 1 and I dont see that changing much as they have depth and can create mismatches in their favor virtually every possession. You can never count out Cairo with perennial top 5 scorer Khalied. I expect Raied to get better with every game as he is still working off the rust, and Dan gives them a pretty good 2nd/3rd option on the offensive side of the ball. If Cairo takes care of the ball, limits the turnovers and cleans up the defensive rebounds it'll give them a shot down the stretch. But I think Cordoba has too many weapons and too many ways to score. Cordoba wins by 16.
Sarajevo vs Kabul (Court 2 @ 9pm) Sarajevo had a very tough matchup in week 1, their main disadvantage as the lack of size and length. Kabul and the Brandon boys should be able to dominate the boards. I expect a good defensive effort by Kabul and some more hot shooting from Muj and Tariq. Sarajevo by the eye exam looks more like a D2 team, and its hard to see them competing without a big man. Kabul wins by 35.
Medina vs Mecca (Court 1 @ 10pm) I dont pick my game, but will give a synopsis. Mecca is a very balanced team, and now have 3 players who can isolate and get a basket in a pressure situation with Mo, Rudy and Marquis. Medina will need to keep up the defensive and efficient rebounding to compete, and will need to shoot a better percentage to win. Guard play is going to be great in this game, as both teams sport good shooters with basketball IQ and who take care of the ball. Should be a good game.

Cairo vs Cordoba Cordoba had an easy game last week but they will need to shake that off right away. Cairo has some size advantages on Cordoba. If Cairo plays team ball, they can pull off a win. If Cordoba plays their usual, they will win.
Sarajevo vs Kabul Sarajevo had a tough first MB game, but they did score a lot of point on a usually solid D. Kabul is known for their lack of D and their explosive offense. If Kabul is missing their shots and slacking on D, this game might be closer than we think. But if Bowen, Muj, and FA come to play, it'll be another game to forget for Sarajevo.
Medina vs Mecca First off, congratulations to Mo Abdelhadi for winning NMBT's Championship Tournament in Chicago this weekend. With Mo back in the lineup, Mecca looks to be even stronger than last week vs Kabul. Medina is tough in the paint and that's where a lot of Mecca's points come from, so we'll see some nice challenges there. Both teams have solid defenses and offenses, but I'm giving the win to Mecca because of their team chemistry.
