|---|---|---|---|
| Week 5 | 1-4 | 12 | Cairo's struggles continue, but it's impossible to overlook the absence of Ahmed Ismaeli and Alex Lorenzo. Without those two, they've had difficulty staying competitive. Mustafa Brown has become their most reliable option, finishing with 19 points and 9 rebounds while firmly placing himself in the Most Improved Player conversation. |
| Week 4 | 1-3 | 12 | Shoutout to Cairo, who were playing without their star, Alex Lorenzo, in this matchup. Despite the setback, Ahmed Ismaeil and Mustafa Brown stepped up and led the way with 16 points apiece. However, the lack of ball movement proved costly—finishing with just 2 total assists as a team simply isn’t going to be enough to win games at this level. For Cairo to turn things around, the offense has to become more fluid and unselfish, with the ball moving and creating better looks for everyone. Until that happens, they’ll continue to struggle to close out games. |
| Week 3 | 1-2 | 11 | First win in the books! |
| Week 2 | 0-2 | 13 | Week 1 ended in heartbreak for Cairo, and it looked like that last-second loss might light a fire under them heading into a matchup with Jerusalem. Instead, Cairo found themselves searching for answers again in a game that had flashes of brilliance but never fully clicked offensively. After turning heads in his debut last week, Alex Lorenzo couldn’t buy a bucket against Big Moose. The shots that were falling before — especially from deep — just weren’t there this time around, and you could feel the frustration build as the game went on. One major storyline, though, was the return of Ahmed Ismaeli. Getting him back adds another layer to Cairo’s rotation, and now the question becomes how they balance all the pieces moving forward. But the real spark came from Mustafa Brown. Mustafa dropped 21 points and kept Cairo active in this game. Straight confidence.  |
| Week 1 | 0-1 | 7 | ALEX LORENZO. That’s it. That’s the headline. ROTY, All-Star, MVP talks already loading after an insane debut. Alex dropped 31 points while shooting 50% from deep and looked every bit like the newest superstar in Cairo’s massive offseason rebuild. Mezi’s squad clearly found a weapon. The new additions didn’t stop there either. Musaab Mahmoud put together a super efficient double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Mustafa Brown’s smooth handle and composure added another 10 points to the mix. Cairo controlled large stretches of the game against Granada, but late-game execution cost them in the final moments. Even with the loss, this squad looks dangerous, moving forward. Huge overhaul, huge potential. |
