They were able to grab what was likely their only win of the season- though beating another notoriously bad team by only 5 points doesn’t necessarily deserve credit. Do not see this group winning another game, or coming close for that matter.
Week 2 0-2 21

Very balanced distribution of points throughout their week 2 showcase, which is slightly impressive considering that all 9 of their players were present. That might just be the only good takeaway I have from this squad, outside of the fact that they’ve possibly found a solidified scorer in Ty-Lynn Johnson. Otherwise, 17 turnovers won’t cut it in this league; especially not against the multiple-time champs.
Week 1 0-1 21

Seems as though the description of this team’s preseason ranking was a bit too lenient- and that this squad didn’t in fact take notes from last season. Usually new teams progress in their second seasons, but shoot 27% from the field and get blown out by 18 in the opener? A single win would surprise me at this point.

The phrase “This team took the league by storm” worked the other way around with last year’s Alexandria squad. A bunch of rookies lead by a good player in Muhammad Mustafa seemed to not have known the type of competition that they’d be up against. Despite having lost their best player in Collin, I’m sure necessary adjustments have been made to avoid facing the same embarrassment as they did last season.
