New Jersey (North): Riyadh (D2)
Power Ranking By Week | |||
WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 10 | 3-7 | 14 | Beat Sana’a by 7 in what was by far their best game to end the season. Not sure where that was for the first 9 games, but they seem like a confident group going into the playoffs. |
Week 9 | 2-7 | 19 | |
Week 8 | 2-6 | 17 | Good games from Ahmed, Omar and Khalil. Withstood a combined 41 from Aymen and Muhanad, but Delhi beat themselves with immaturity. |
Week 7 | 1-6 | 17 | Most respectable fight. |
Week 6 | 1-5 | 21 | I don’t even know. |
Week 5 | 1-4 | 19 | Find ways to come back from behind to shred 20 point leads and lose by 8. |
Week 4 | 1-3 | 17 | I don't know. They played a better Mombasa team, but they look like they should be winning some of these games. They aren't. |
Week 3 | 1-2 | 16 | I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – this team should be good, very good. They got a win under their belt, now let’s see what they turn it into. |
Week 2 | 0-2 | 19 | On paper and in the box score, Riyadh should be winning games. But they don’t. And I don’t know why. If I did, I wouldn’t be spending Tuesday nights writing the power rankings. 4 guys in double digits, -5 turnover margin but +3 on the glass. |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 17 | Too many turnovers and fouls plagued them, but giving up 20 rebounds to a single player ends all chance at victory. They struggled from deep, specifically, Abdul Kareem and Omar missed all 11 of their attempts from deep. Ricardo had a very solid debut, not only grabbing the double-double, but also keeping Omar Mana to only 5 points – cannot give up 20 rebounds to the opposing center though. |
