LAST WK: 1

Jakarta had their way in the first half, but man does Islamabad just grind you out. Shareef gave Omar Abbassi all he could handle, but he and the rest of Jakarta just could not keep fighting. They played a shorthanded Jakarta squad, but they themselves were missing a key piece in Bilal. They aren’t losing another game this season.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - Ameer is the most improved player in this league and he is an absolute force to be reckoned with. He fights for every rebound, stretches the floor, and has a knockdown midrange game. Farzad has stringed a couple solid straight game. The offense is in playoff form, the defense, well, that needs to be worked on. They’re starting to really give up a lot of points, some of which seem to come easily. They do shoot a very high field goal percentage though, so that gives them some slack when it comes to defensive intensity. To win a championship, they’ll need to be more sound defensively.

Took a punch early but then did not stop delivering the blows. They capitalized from the free throw line, knocking down 28 of their 40 attempts. All Omari knocked down 14 of his 17 attempts, most of which coming in crunch time, putting the game away. They find ways to win games in many different ways - they are battle tested and will prove that in the playoffs.

Ran out of gas against a team that kills you once you start to show any weakness. If they had Jawad, that may have been the lift they needed to stay energized for the entire 40 minutes. He would have also relieved the ball handling duties from Muj, who was doubled and trapped on every touch.

Should have won this game, but not enough poise to get it done. Two technical fouls created two separate 5 point possessions for Tehran, handing them all the momentum. They need to be more composed because they will not get all the calls and they will be involved in close games - this attitude will make it very difficult to move on when it matters most.

“Jonathon Mingo is not a top player in this league” LOL. The box score of this game is actually frightening.

Big game from Bernie, but overall, they didn’t look like they were flowing too well. There was a lot of individual basketball and if it wasn’t for a weaker opponent, this may not have ended in their favor. They look like they have not yet meshed, even after some terrific games earlier in the year - this may just be an anomaly, but this win was not confidence building.

Yes they only had four, but this knockdown is a residual of their loss last week. They were very uninspired and looked uninspired for a second straight week.

Again, not a team I would want to face in the playoffs. Leonard, Rameez, and Umar are all legitimate threats that can change games. Leonard might very well be rookie of the year, he’s been doing it all season long. 20+ points per game, 47% from the field, not a joke.

Good games from Ahmed, Omar and Khalil. Withstood a combined 41 from Aymen and Muhanad, but Delhi beat themselves with immaturity.

It’s always good when your two best players are yelling at each other during the game, telling each other that they suck. They could be a threat, but they need to play as a team, not as individuals.

Still haven’t beaten a team with 5 guys on the court. A wins a win though, I guess.

Lost with 5 guys, played against 4. Was the most boring game I’ve ever seen. Ahmed Faraj would have had 10 rebounds and 30 points if he could make a layup.

That box score is real. REAL. VERY VERY REAL. It’s fair to say Abul ONLY had 44 because the other team had 109. ONE HUNDRED AND NINE.
