Muslim Basketball's back for another exciting season! Last year we saw amazing talent week by week as the top players in the division played their hearts out trying to lead their teams to glory. These players went the extra mile for their team and without them on the court their teams would fall in shambles. The effect they have on the court can be seen through both what does and does not show up on the stat sheets; it's the little things they do that help fuel the fire of their teams. Through their leadership and great play, week in and week out, they hope to do everything in their power to elevate their teams to the next level. These aren't any ordinary players, these are MVP caliber type of players. Welcome to this week's edition of the KP MVP Ladder.

1. Patrick Jaramillo, Kazan
The reigning MVP starts off his back to back campaign with a strong performance against a weaker Jerusalem squad. 48 points on 55% shooting, yes please. Tack on 14 boards, 7 assists, and 7 steals, this man's on a mission. Kazan's looking like they haven't missed a step and their leader's making sure of it. What a way to kick off the season!

2. Rameez Khizer, Sarajevo
This team was missing some pieces last season. This team is no longer missing some pieces. Rameez comes back for his third season with Sarajevo and brought some friends back with him. He starts the season off with 26 points on an impressive 65% from the field along with 10 boards and 4 assists. Sarajevo means business this season, dark horse team to make some noise in the postseason if you ask me.

3. Mohammad Abdelhadi, Kabul
The long awaited return of one of the all time greats has finally come upon us and he didn't disappoint in his season debut. 21 points on 53% shooting, 12 boards, and 4 assists and it could've been a lot worse had the score not been so lopsided. Glad to have you back sir, welcome to the ladder!

4. Mohamed Amin, Tehran
A guy who always finds his way into the MVP talks has himself a nice season debut finishing with 18 points on 60% shooting, 11 boards and 2 assists. Tehran lost some big pieces this offseason and they're relying on Mo Amin to be the great Mo Amin everyone has come accustomed to seeing take over games. Tehran's in good hands.

5. Raza Nassim, Mombasa
Another former MVP and 5 time MB champ, Raza had himself a solid season debut as well. He finished with 21 points on 50% shooting, 8 boards, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Mombasa disappointed last season with their early playoff exit but look for them to bounce back with Raza in midseason form already.
