Week 5 2-3 8

54–31 over Damascus, and they took care of the details. Anas Najib had them organized, Omar Sehwail did the “glue” work (another triple-double), and Muhammad Elhindi’s spacing opened everything. When Granada defends and runs clean offense, they look like a team that can punch above their seed.

Week 4 2-2 8

54–31 over Damascus, and they took care of the details. Anas Najib had them organized, Omar Sehwail did the “glue” work (another triple-double), and Muhammad Elhindi’s spacing opened everything. When Granada defends and runs clean offense, they look like a team that can punch above their seed.

Week 3 1-2 9

They ran into a surging Tripoli (62–79) shorthanded and couldn’t string together enough stops. Dr. Ammar Mustafa stabilized them, Zain Abdeen brought the usual versatility, but the late creation wasn’t clean enough once Tripoli’s physicality ramped up. Muhammad Elhindi’s spacing is a big lever for this offense, and when it’s neutralized, Granada ends up living on tough shots. The full-squad boost (plus Joey Capone) should change the next chapter.

Week 2 1-1 6

Granada got right in a big way, blowing out Dhaka (79–46). Dr. Ammar Mustafa had them poised and organized, and with Zain Abdeen’s versatility plus Muhammad Elhindi stretching the floor, they generated quality looks early and never let the game tilt into chaos. Add in Omar Sehwail’s triple-double, and it was a complete performance. If they keep defending and moving the ball like this — especially once Wajdi Ahemed returns to the lineup — Granada will be a real problem.

Week 1 0-1 8

Granada dropped a heartbreaker to Cairo in double overtime (71–74) and honestly didn’t look out of place at all. Dr. Ammar Mustafa had them right there — Zain Abdeen gives them real versatility, with Anas Najib and Muhammad Elhindi spacing the floor. Now it’s about having that one “go get me a bucket” option when the last two minutes turn into a street fight.
Preseason 0-0 7
A solid, all-around contender led by Dr. Mustafa and Zain Abdeen, with length and versatility across positions. If they define roles early—especially identifying a reliable closer—Granada has the tools to rise and challenge the teams above them, backed by Wajdi Ahemed’s interior presence and Muhammad Elhindi’s shooting.
