Week 6 4-2 1

A new #1 this week, and the Abdurahmen curse is finally broken. They’re officially 1-2 with him there. I like the way they shut Mattias down with their 2-3 zone, especially with no Daishon or Subhan being there. Ronny Sawwan is really having an amazing year, 23 points and 13 rebounds; take a bow. Abdurahmen might’ve found the missing piece for this squad, and their strength is showing. This is a championship squad, folks.

Week 5 3-2 7

Beit Jala with Abdurahmen in attendance: 0-2. Without him there? 3-0. To be fair, they were playing without Mohamed Amin and Daishon. But a really good day from Ronny (20pts, 12reb), who looks really nimble lately. Subhan and Mohamed Sakar both helped with 11 points each. Hopefully everyone’s back to face a raging Ramla team next.

Week 4 3-1 5

This win makes three wins without Abdurahmen in attendance, and at this point, he might just need to stay home. Daishon (29pts, 10-17) is easily top five in the league, and is unstoppable on his drives and from three. Not to mention he knows exactly how to draw fouls and get to the line. Ronny (17pts, 14reb) was a great add to this team, and really spaces the floor for Daishon and Mo Amin to get to work. I like Beit Jala, and I think they’ll soar higher with more wins.

Week 3 2-1 8

Abdurahmen missing again and yet another Beit Jala win. Coincidence? Probably not. Cool it happened twice? You bet. Led by Subhan (34pts, 14-18), who had a massive game. Ronny Sawwan also had his own 26 points on 11-16 shooting. This was a good game, even if half of it was played against four players. With Nazareth coming up, lets see if they’re legit contenders.

Week 2 1-1 9

They won a 4v5, and each and every one of these players deserves their flowers. Daishon was unstoppable, he had 30 points being 6-10 from 3. Mo Amin is a confirmed double-double whenever he’s on the court (15pts, 10reb). Ronny Sawwan held the paint down, finishing with 6 points and 8 rebounds. And Subhan finished with 20 points on a solid 8-16 shooting. Maybe the Sakar boys should let these four run the team.

Week 1 0-1 9

Abdurahmen is bringing the majority of his team back this season, adding Ronny Sawwan and Subhan into the mix. Not to mention the return of Daishon (10pts), and if he stayed the whole game, I’m sure they would’ve won. Mo Amin had a great game (28pts) and looks to have been working on his three point shot in the offseason, aka, making himself more of a problem for opposing defenses. On a side note, if there was a leaderboard for fouls, I have no doubt Abdurahmen would be leading it each and every season.
