Power Ranking By Week | |||
WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 7 | 2-5 | 14 | A good game from Mahmoud, having 18 points. Its a good day when you win one… and lose one? |
Week 6 | 1-5 | 15 | In a low scoring slugfest of a game, I thought they could’ve pulled through. When Omar was doing well, you have to run the offense through him. Simple as that. |
Week 5 | 1-4 | 13 | When an opposing player scores as much as you did in a whole game, you just gotta pack it up. Let’s get to the positives—Danesh looks good, and Mahmoud is shooting more efficient than last season. Omar Mahmoud is a statue on defense, and gives whoever he covers problems. Shabazz had a tough game, but he should realistically bounce back. |
Week 4 | 1-3 | 10 | A massive, much needed win for the team. And at the buzzer! Shabazz with a team high 12 points, and he’s currently having his best year to date. This was an overall team win, and definitely a moral booster going into the second half of the season. |
Week 3 | 0-3 | 13 | Mahmoud and Shabazz had solid games but when you get outshot and out-rebounded, you’re just not gonna win. |
Week 2 | 0-2 | 13 | Rough, rough, rough showing from the veteran team. Tied at the half you thought it could’ve been their game. Danesh going 1-15, 0-9 from 3 is really uncharacteristic, and I expect him to bounce back. The two Mahmouds had 12 a piece. Overall, a week to forget for the guys, going a combined 22% from the field. |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 10 | Hoopers know real heartbreak is losing in OT, so my love goes out to them. They put up a fight, Danesh had 12 points and 3 steals while the surprise here was Omar Mahmoud, having 13 points and 8 rebounds. This team is good, and is most likely shaking the offseason rust off. |
Preseason | 0-0 | 11 | I’m glad to see Danesh coming back. He was a late season bloomer and really made an impact on the league. Mahmoud and Shabazz also make a return, and should contribute. |
