WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 9 | 5-4 | 5 | Triple double?!?!? Mahrooz has turned up over the past several weeks and its been perfect timing. The big 3 of Zain, Rooz and Omar were HOOPIN’ last night as they got a much needed win. This team is my dark horse favorite to make a run at the chip, but only if Mahrooz continues this current level of play. |
Week 8 | 4-4 | 7 | Mahrooz for President and Moayad for VP! |
Week 7 | 3-4 | 7 | 3rd loss this season of single digits and second in a row without Moayad. No one was efficient from the field and they couldn’t contain the Ramallah guards. They certainly can win their next matchup but they need to clean up a few things offensively. Maybe Mr. Passion, Momo can help out. |
Week 6 | 3-3 | 6 | Okay they did lose but a promising sight to see Omar Hussein hoopin’. Mahrooz with another night at the office with 15 6 and 4. Uncharacteristic performance from Zain going 4-12, may need a pep talk from Muhammed Saleh. |
Week 5 | 3-2 | 4 | The triplets of Mahrooz, Zain and Muhammad Saleh combined for 49 points, 26 rebounds and 7 assists. Talk about a Big 3. Moayad also got in on the fun with 14 points of his own, although not the most efficient of outings, it’s nice to see him return to form. Mind you this team is still without Omar Hussein who can turn up quick. Al-Quds is on a hot streak. |
Week 4 | 2-2 | 8 | Back in the win column, after losing two in a row, and it the recipe appeared simple. Give Mahrooz the rock and get outta the way. Moayad looked the best he has since preinjury. Zain also added 19 and 11 of his own. This team is still missing a perimeter threat, and I am know they hope OH returns to form. |
Week 3 | 1-2 | 10 | On a two-game skid and another potential team that could be desperate to make a move with the trade deadline approaching. They need spacing and another guard who can create their own shot. They did go up against a stellar defensive unit, but that’s now back-to-back weeks where they have yet to score more than 43 points. Could help be on the way? |
Week 2 | 1-1 | 8 | Honestly, I would've slid this team further down but I'm going to blame the loss on ironing things out. The team they lost two were missing their 2nd and 3rd round picks, yet still managed to pull off a double-digit win. This is also a squad with an identity issue. Too much talent to be concerned, they'll make it work. |
Week 1 | 1-0 | 1 | No Moayad, no backup big in Sehwail and they shot below 30% from deep as a squad. But none of that seems to matter when you have Zain looking like prime Zain. 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks. Can’t forget to mention Mahrooz going for 16 and 12 and playing the role of point forward. Expect Zubyyy and Omar Hussein to knock down 3s at a better clip in coming weeks, but nonetheless, good start to the season. |
Preseason | 0-0 | 1 | Not bad Rook! First time Draft manager Zubair may have gotten away with robbery with selecting Zain in the second round. Not to mention his first-round selection was Mahrooz. Moayad and Omar Hussein are the other two integral pieces. The only thing potentially stopping this team is that there is one basketball. |
