New Jersey (Central): Bir Seb'a (D2)
Power Ranking By Week | |||
WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 10 | 3-7 | 8 | This team is full of surprises. From #12 on the power rankings and worst record in the league to beating the 2nd hottest team in the league. Anas with a masterful performance as he kissed Areeha goodnight with that fly-by 3. Don't sleep on this team. |
Week 9 | 2-7 | 12 | 4 out of 5 players in double figures and a whole lot of passion. They get their second win and are brewing up some momentum. I don’t think any team would like to see them first round. |
Week 8 | 1-7 | 12 | Tough loss and down they go to #12. Zayed hit some clutch 3s but they were not enough to edge out the win. Salman with a monster 16 and 15 game on 5-8 shooting. Maybe it's time they play through their big man? |
Week 7 | 1-6 | 11 | Another tough loss for Bir Seb'a. Ana with a poor shooting night going 3-17 doesn't help in their quest of getting another win on the board. Salman with another monster game on the boards with 18. |
Week 6 | 1-5 | 11 | Ok this team's record does not reflect how good they actually are. Putting up a strong fight against a top team in the league just supports that statement. Zayed finally having a good shooting night shooting 6-12 from the field and 4-9 from three. If they carry this development of chemistry forward and string a few wins together, they can make some noise in the playoffs. |
Week 5 | 1-4 | 10 | Finally, a win. You can say Anas is carrying this team in stats, but you might forget that Salman Ilyas is having his best rebounding season in the vets 8 year career. Board man wins games. |
Week 4 | 0-4 | 12 | When your best scorer drops only 13, you know it’ll be a rough day in the office. The goods: — Salman Ilyas is having a record year in rebounding — Has Mahmoud finally found his groove? — Anas is still doing his thing. The bad: — Ever |
Week 3 | 0-3 | 11 | Let’s be honest, after the first half we thought this was going to be Yazur 50 piece. Anas said “nah” and dropped 25 points helping them score 43 in the second half. Abdullah Shabazz heard the “All D and no 3” comments and dropped 2 threes tonight. |
Week 2 | 0-2 | 11 | So everything we heard about Anas was true, that man is a baller. First game in and he dropped 32 points, that too after landing just the night before. Jet lagged 32 points is different. Danesh showed up this game and put up his own 11, 7, and 5 to go along with 2 steals. Everyone else, well, didn’t do so well. Last week we said Mahmoud Zayed is a better shooter than 4-14, so he decided to go 2-14 this week. Let’s hope he channels this and shows us why he was the 3 point champ last season. </s |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 12 | Scoring the least amount of points this week on 29% shooting will usually land you at the last spot on the power rankings. Granted, they were missing Anas who we hear is a baller. Mahmoud Zayed led the way with 11 points on 4-14 shooting, but we know he’s a better shooter than that. Expect this team to be much better with Anas back in action dictating the offense. |
