Week 10 3-7 11

Bad D, Bad O, Bad Everything. Another losing season for Akka in the books.

Week 9 3-6 10

4 players in double figures, Usman leading the team in scoring, outrebounding the other team, well that’s not something we’re used to seeing from Akka. Let’s see if they can carry this momentum into the final game of the season and hopefully the playoffs.

Week 8 2-6 10

Like I said before, this team almost had us fooled in the first half. We should've known better, that Akka will always be Akka. The Sharaf brothers combined for a whopping 5-23 shooting, which is exactly half the amount of shot attempts as the whole team. Looks like this team just can not figure it out.

Week 7 2-5 10

Another week, another Akka loss. Between the visible frustration and yelling you could sense the dysfunction. Offensively and defensively, nothing was working for this team. A bright spot is that we saw Ahmed Kouar play a few minutes. Is he back in action and ready to help Akka right the ship? I guess we'll have to wait to find out.

Week 6 2-4 10

Wow, 2 wins on the board for Akka in 1 season. Brand new Akka?? Asterisk on this win as they went up against a 4-man team, but they can only play who’s in front of them. Shooting 46% as a team is also impressive, given the fact how much iso ball this team has played in previous weeks. The turnovers were still a problem though. Let’s see if they can carry this ball sharing momentum into next week and actually show us they are a brand new Akka team.

Week 5 1-4 11

Scoring more than one point in a half—chalk it up to a win I guess? Regardless, this team desperately needs Ahmed Kouar to come back.

Week 4 1-3 10

You can’t say much after dropping only one point in the second half, the lowest ever in MB history.

Week 3 1-2 8

Akka on the losing column again. 2 in a row just isn’t in their Qadar is it? Though they kept it close the entire game after a slow start, they just could not get defensive stops at the end. The offense looks like it needs polishing as well, still seems to be no rhythm to it. Ibraheem Sharaf with 16 points on 50% shooting is a good sign. Omar Usmani also with 17 but on a not so great 7-18 shooting. Definitely some things this team needs to figure out, let’s see if they do against a run and gun Areeha

Week 2 1-1 7

After going down 17 to 4, it looked like Akka was about to repeat last season all over again. They composed themselves and went on a run with the whole team getting involved. The more the ball swung the less the deficit became, and that’s not something we’ve seen Akka do a lot of. Bilal Matin absolutely tearing it up down low with 16 and 12. With 4 players in double digits and Yusuf flirting with a triple double, Akka finally looks like a team you have to matchup against.

Week 1 0-1 10

Getting blown out by 28 is really not it. This team really had some offensive problems trying to get the ball in the basket. It was clearly Ibraheem's first game back from injury and they were missing their rebounder in Ahmed Kouar and scorer in Omar Usmani, but no excuses for losing like that. Omar Khan led the way in scoring with 17 points. Let’s see if they can turn it around next week against a fellow team that is also looking for their first win after a disappointing loss.
