WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 10 | 5-5 | 5 | This game showed how valuable Rooz is to this team. Singer came out hot in the first half, but this team just could not figure it out in the 2nd. They clinch the number 5 seed with this loss. |
Week 9 | 5-4 | 4 | I know Rooz’s back hurt after this game, because he put the whole team on his back and went to battle. 28 points and 8 boards while getting triple teamed in a zone defense is impressive. Hopefully with Singer and Sal back it’ll lighten his load. |
Week 8 | 5-3 | 4 | They were down and out for almost the whole game. Would like to see Mahrooz be more aggressive, this team needs more than 12 shot attempts from him especially when they're trying to claw back against a disciplined Areeha team. |
Week 7 | 5-2 | 4 | This was a WILD game. 71 shots between 3 players and 45 threes attempted is something you don't ever see. They got out rebounded by 20 and shot 34% from the field (26% from three) and still managed to pull out the win. Also, is that 9 steals I see from Singer??? 9??? We have a bandit on the loose fellas. |
Week 6 | 4-2 | 4 | Mahrooz said no jumper, no problem. This man is like Lebron driving down the lane. 26 points on 12-14 shooting is a crazy statline. Omar Singer helped them run away with it pouring in his own 17 points on 50% shooting. Can they keep it up when a 6 foot 8 giant is roaming the paint next week? Stay tuned to find out. Side note, Farhan, I know you're the ultimate hype man but stop yelling on the sidelines all game and get yourself a bucket my guy. It's long overdue. |
Week 5 | 3-2 | 4 | Omar Singers debut came with a 40-point bomb that I don’t think anyone saw coming. Is he the missing piece they needed? Having him eases up pressure on Mahrooz and Sal gets a green light wherever he goes, who both still dropped good amounts in game (12pts, 10pts). The team looks like they’re finally having fun. |
Week 4 | 2-2 | 7 | It was tied at the end of the half before it all slipped away. They held Mana to only 6 boards which is the lowest he’s had since Winter 2019. Sal Rahin had another great game (17pts) after missing the last two. Mahrooz struggled, which really isn’t like him, so don’t expect to see that again. If they figure out their transition defense, they should be back on top. |
Week 3 | 2-1 | 4 | No Raahim, no problem. Just leave it up to Mahrooz “call me Bron” Qaderi. Not to mention Salman Khan woke up this morning with an agenda, shoot the other team out of the game. This duo combined for 75% of the team’s points and responded to every blow from Akka. I said the first week dont expect this team to be that low in the power rankings again, and here we are week 3 with them sitting at #4. Going to be an exciting matchup as they go up against the #1 team in the league next week. |
Week 2 | 1-1 | 6 | From losing by 40+ to grinding out a victory against a strong Sabra team must feel like a nice bounce back for these guys. Mahrooz put them on his back after a slow start and put on an absolute show. From nasty and-1 layups to flexing on ‘em, you couldn’t ask for more as he dropped 20 and 8 on 80% shooting. Newcomer Raahim slowly got into his groove as well and secured his own 13 and 7. Was truly an exciting game that went down to the wire. |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 11 | Okay I get it, they gave up 93 points and got blown out by 45 points, but to be fair they went up against arguable the most stacked team in any MB division. The first half was a different story than the second half though. Tiberias withstood some serious blows from Yazur and it was only a 6 point game. Then, well, down goes Mahrooz after a swipe down on his eye. He did come back and played with 1 eye open though, but too little too late at that point. This is a way better team than this week’s standings show so don’t expect them to be this low any longer. |
