Week 8 3-5 5

After a great come from behind win last week, everyone expected them to have turned things around. Unfortunately they ran into a team that was desperate for a win. The 3-2 zone gave them fits, and they were never able to figure out their offense. Ethan and Dawud are also a little banged up, and this team cannot afford for them to be out. They end the season against Tiberias, and this is not a good time to start another losing streak.

Week 7 3-4 4

"Who's going to beat us". "The rest of the league is full of bums". The loss to Ramallah in week 3 was worse than they could have imagined. Players started going on vacations, and by the time they opened their eyes, they were on a 4 game losing streak. Known for having the best shooters in the league, this team has really struggled to put up points. We everyone finally back, we expected them to get off to a fast start vs Deir Yassin, a team that most of the league does not fully respect yet. That was not the case as they fell behind early, and trailed 30-20 at half time. Captain Yaseen was rumored to have given a heck of a speech at halftime, and the team responded by almost doubling that deficit. Their true alpha James had enough and went off during one of their time outs as they trailed by 19 points in the second half. It really sparked them as they were somehow able to e

Week 4 2-2 3

Lod was missing 3 key guys in their loss today, but, it was just, ugly overall. It was very obvious they needed team captain Yaseen Z out there today, they would've also benefited from at least 1 of their 3pt specialists in Dawud or Ethan. Either way there's really not much to say here, the team played badly, 2 losses in a row hurts for Lod, looking for them to try to make a turnaround post-bye week.

Week 3 2-1 2

Literally like watching the week 2 game all over again. Lod jumped out early and looked confident as per usual against Ramallah, scoring 30 in the first half, a little Deja Vu hit though when they only scored 21 in the second. Theres obviously a pace issue with this team, they start better than anyone else, but, they end up in these tight situations where they go down at the last minute. They'll have to learn to keep a lead, especially with all this talent on the roster, they shouldn't be losing games like this. Everyone was kinda of meh this game, no one stood out. They've got a ways to go as far as game-planning. I think they're better than this, but, they've got a matchup against Nazareth in week 4 with 2 key players out. Could see a big slide from them if they lose there.

Week 2 2-0 1

This one almost got out of hand for Lod. A strong first half where they scored 41, ignited by rookie Ethan L.'s 19 points, came to a screeching halt in the second half. They were outscored by 11 points in the second half, and they just looked confused and panicked for about a 15-minute stretch. They let go of a nearly 20-point lead at one point letting Sheikh Jarrah take the lead. However, late in the game they came together and put 2 strong possessions in to take back the lead and secure the victory. I think this team has been the strongest team out the gate and the stats back that up. 1st in PPG, 1st in RPG and 2nd in FG% through 2 weeks. Key contributions from Ethan L. and Uthmaan M..

Week 1 1-0 1

Lod closed out week 1 with the largest point differential at 14+. Missing Saleem this week didn't hold them back at all, they quickly took the lead and held onto it the entire game. There was really no point where they allowed Deir Yassin back into this one. 42% from the field, 33% from 3 (carried mostly by rookie Dawud C's 5 3pt'ers). The big man pairing of Uthmaan and James looked calculated and impactful. Staunch defense and some efficient offense down the stretch made this team look tough to beat. Key contributions from Dawud C., Ghaos C., and Yaseen Z..

Preseason 0-0 3

Built by Yaseen Zohny, Lod clearly prioritized shooting in the draft, scooping up rookies Ethan Loevy and Dawud Cornett for their shooting acumen. What makes this team so good is the variety of abilities on this roster, James N and Uthmaan M on the block will be tough to stop. Plus the combo of Yaseen and Ghaos cutting and attacking the rim will create problems for weak perimeter defenders (looking at you Sheikh Jarrah). I could see this team shooting its way out of some wins. They have maybe the most boom or bust potential in the league as far as I can see.
