Well well well, look what we have here... Yazur not on top in the power rankings. Don't think this will last long though, still the favorites to win the chip.

Taka for three - BANGGGGG! That's all we heard in the closing seconds of a thrilling overtime game, as Yazur proved once again that they are THE team to beat. They are on a tear and showing no signs of slowing down, so let's see if they can go undefeated in the regular season against a revenge driven Khan Yunis team next week. 

Even though they went up against a 4-man Khan Yunis team, Yazur still shot the lights out scoring a league season high 103 points. Alassane showed up as he does every week with a solid 27 points on 70% shooting. Taka wasn’t messing around either, pouring in his own 18 points, 10 assists and 0 turnovers. But y’all really let a 4-man team put up 77 points? Sheeessshhhhh. This game most likely would’ve had a different outcome if Khan Yunis wasn’t handicapped. Rematch in week 8 will be an exciting one. 

No surprises here, but boy did Akka give them a run for their money. Yazur walked into the gym smiling as if this game was going to be a blowout, but by halftime the whole team was sweating and you could hear Taka yelling at his team from outside. Clearly that was enough to light the fire under them, as they turned on the jets in the 2nd half and forced turnover after turnover which resulted in an enormous amount of fast break points. Taka led the way with 19 pts, 4 reb, 6 ast, and 6 stl (!!) and Alassane was right behind him with a solid 19 and 7. Proving to still be the championship favorites, this is a team to be reckoned with. 

Side note, maybe skip the layup lines and practice some shooting, because 7% from beyond the arc is, well... not pretty.

This team is up. They stay up. ‘Nuff said.

The only undefeated team and top championship contenders of the league. Starting the game off down 6 points with a jersey penalty is not an ideal way to start against one of the stronger teams in the league (Tulkarem), but it didn’t matter. Strong showings from Alassane (24 Pts, 5 Reb, 3 Ast, 3 Stl) and Mountaka (18 Pts, 8 Reb, 5 Ast, 1 Stl, 2 Blk) to keep Yazur on top.

With another dominant showcase Yazur has solidified themselves as the top dogs in this league. They have the most explosive offense in the league. Excited to see how they stack up against some of the other teams.
