New Jersey (Central): Ajjur (D2)
Power Ranking By Week | |||
WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 8 | 3-5 | 8 | This game felt like watching the high school varsity team playing pickup against the local middle school team. That is all. |
Week 7 | 3-4 | 6 | Sheikh Karim said no brother, no problem. He scored 22 points and made 3 of the most clutch free-throws we've seen so far to put Ajjur up 1 at the end of the game after 2 costly turnovers. Safe to say the Sheikh has ice in his veins. |
Week 6 | 2-4 | 6 | Sheikh Karim came back and stuffed the stat sheet with 20 points and 3 steals. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough to pull out the win, but credit to them, as they played hard till the final buzzer. They had some good looks that didn’t fall, so there’s no sleeping on this team regardless of their record. |
Week 5 | 2-3 | 6 | With this team almost squeezing out the win in OT, it looks like the only thing they were missing was Sheikh Karim and his duas. Ali Azzat was a bright spot for this team, giving Pat Bev vibes with his insane hustle on both ends of the court. |
Week 4 | 2-2 | 6 | Ajjur's Ali Azzat was a bright spot in a challenging game, with 15 points and significant contributions on defense. Karim Azzat's 14 points indicated his offensive potential, and together, they demonstrated the team's capability to compete at a high level. Despite falling short against Rafah, Ajjur's resilience and persistence on the court are clear indicators that they are building towards more consistent performances. |
Week 3 | 2-1 | 4 | Despite this being Ajjur's first win that they actually played in, it was a heroic one. Sheikh Karim Azzat was raining down the 3-pointers with his unorthodox shot form (17 Pts, 7 Reb, 1 Stl) keeping them in the game the entire way. Ali Azzat (11 Pts, 5 Reb, 3 Ast, 3 Stl) and Faisal Waheed (8 Pts, 9 Reb, 6 Ast) also had important roles to fill on this team. With contributions across the board, this win could be the spark that Ajjur needed to propel them to further successes in the win column. |
Week 2 | 1-1 | 6 | Ajjur’s a strong defensive team that can go on hot streaks in moments notice. With their entire lineup I can see them being a problem for any of the teams in the league. |
