WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 9 | 1-8 | 16 | They did everything they could to miss the playoffs. It looks like this team has given up on themselves and each other. What looked promising to start the season has spiraled into a trainwreck, putting it lightly. Surprisingly, losing by 45 wasn’t enough to drop their point differential and that allows them to come back next week. Please put up a fight and go out with your heads hanging high. And who knows, maybe you get the dub. Everyone is 0-0 starting now. |
Week 8 | 1-7 | 16 | Win and you’re in. Very disappointing that this group never got it going. |
Week 7 | 1-6 | 16 | Haifa ya Haifa, where art thou Haifa. Four of their last 5 losses have been single digits. It’s not like they don’t have talent, they just can’t seem to hold onto a lead or finish out a game. I think part of the reason is because they haven’t quite figured out who the closer is and who should be responsible for handling the ball in tight situations. |
Week 6 | 1-5 | 15 | Pretender. |
Week 5 | 1-4 | 14 | Ughhhh Haifa Ya Haifa. Where do I begin? You guys are all too good of ball players to be yelling at each other mid game. Personally, I was a coach and I am certainly not, I would run the offense through Omar Qasem. Get him the ball around the free throw line area to mid post and work through him. Guards will then screen and cut, Deeb can be opposite post and shooters in the corner. But again, I am not a coach. |
Week 4 | 1-3 | 12 | Haifa ya Haifa. They had the unfortunate privilege of facing Ty twice this season, and despite that, they couldn’t figure out a way to stop him. The Omar brothers did all they could, totaling 33 of the team’s 61. They won the rebounding battle, shot more FT’s and had fewer turnovers. They just simply couldn’t get the stops they needed and missed crucial shots down the stretch. This team has the scoring and playmaking, but they need to figure things out soon. |
Week 3 | 1-2 | 11 | Three games played, three close ones. Personally, I expected them to win this one and I was wrong. OQ and Deeb have been their most consistent players. Kareem looks spry again which is always a bad thing for the opposition. All that is missing is Omar Hussein knocking down shots and this team could very easily be 3-0. HOT TAKE: They win 4 of their next 6 games. You heard it here first. |
Week 2 | 1-1 | 8 | So no matter where I place this team, they’ll never appreciate Mr. PR :(. Personally, I think the 8th spot for now is perfect, but again they are entitled to their own opinions. No Kareem Ahmed in this one, but the Omar brothers balled out. OQ with a team high 20 points and OH contributed 12 of his own. Mr. Walking double double, Muhannad Deeb had 15 and 11, while playing some stellar defense on the Shatila bigs. Not sure what dua Kareem is making while performing Umrah, but he still managed to score while making tawaf. Now that’s talent! |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 10 | To the surprise of many, not mine, but to many, they almost pulled out the win. Kareem led the way with 18 points, with OQ and Muhanad adding 15 and 10 respectively. Quiet game from Omar Hussein and Deep Patel. If they can compete with one of the league’s best with on “average” shooting, they are going to be dangerous when they catch fire. |
Preseason | 0-0 | 9 | After taking a season off, Kareem Ahmed is back and he brought friends. Omar H and Omar Qasem are unofficially peanut butter and jelly, since you can’t have one without the other. Muhannad Deeb has left his beloved cousin, in what he hopes leads to greener grass. The most intriguing piece is the addition of Deep Patel who is a solid point guard and will look to orchestrate the offense and look to get everyone going. Nice job brother Kareem. |
