Week 9 7-2 2

With the Big 3 of Mana, Shahzaib and Hassan Farhat, this team is undefeated and has shown no signs of weakness throughout the regular season. They have built good chemistry and have gotten their role players involved, which has only made them more difficult to beat. I expect a deep playoff run from this team and if it all comes together, a championship.

Week 8 6-2 2

Really wanted to put them at number one and they have the argument for it. Perhaps next week could be the week. Weekly reminder that Shahzaib has the prettiest game.

Week 7 5-2 4

Ramla did something, practically no team has done and that is defeat a full attendance Yanes led squad. Let me just take the time to highlight Shahzaib’s delightful taste in cologne as well as basketball repertoire. Burooj Al-Mana did not have the most efficient game but 10 and 15 is still a great stat line, as did Khaled Sehwail with 13 and 10 of his own. And they got a win without Hassan Farhat doing much in the boxscore. Job well done boys.

Week 6 4-2 5

Contender!

Week 5 3-2 7

For starters, Shahzaib has the smoothest game in all of MB. Don’t @ me. Even when he misses it still looks pretty. 23 points 9 boards, 3 assists, would typically be POTW numbers. Until you look at Burooj Al-Mana’s stat line of 16 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists. Khaled Sehwail and Hassan were each in double digits and overall, the team looked solid. If they can win 3 of their next 4, they could potentially head into the playoffs as a top 5 seed.

Week 4 2-2 10

They won with 4 dudes, so kudos to you. Burooj Al Mana finally made his much anticipated season debut, and it resulted in the usual 14 points, 15 rebounds and 10 free throw attempts. Hassan Farhat led the way for this squad with 19 points on 7-12 from the field. And did I mention they won this game with only 4 people!!!!!

Week 3 1-2 13

Now I have a bone to pick with this team. They won their first game last night, again without Burooj Al-Mana (Tower of Mana, for my Non-Arabic speakers) and Shazaib has yet to have a Shahzaib like performance. Last night 4-10, 10 points on 40%, okay cool. But I want to see the 20-25 that we have fallen accustomed to. I know we have gotten spoiled. But kudos to him for allowing his running mates to cook, as Elias and Hassan each had 19 and 20, respectively. But seriously I want to see some flashy Shahzaib points.

Week 2 0-2 16

Omar Mana, where art thou??? This team needs your 24 points and 24 rebounds. On the bright side, Shahzaib was doing Shahzaib things, 22 points on 7-12 shooting. As for the rest of the supporting cast, 20 points as a whole is not going to cut it, but I see brighter days ahead for Ahmad Saleh and his crew.

Week 1 0-1 16

So they were without Omar Mana, but they kept it close the entire game. Elias was their leading scorer on this night as he knocked down 5-10 from three. Ahmad Saleh and Shahzaib each had 10 and once Mana does return, that will only lead to more open shots and more fast break buckets.

Preseason 0-0 8

GM Ahmad Saleh should never be counted out as we have seen from previous seasons and this season is no different. Will Omar Mana and Shahzaib be the MB’s version of Joel and Harden? Omar Mana is one of the league’s best but I want to see him expand his game as a facilitator and get others involved. With the amount of double teams that he commands, 3-6 assists per game should not be a tall task for the big man.
