Week 9 3-6 14

There was hope going into the playoffs that these guys were more than just an ok team, but after last week, I’m not sure how much trust I have in these guys to make noise in the dance. Yes, they were missing Moe Rayyan but that doesn’t explain losing by 40. They were also facing a Qalqilya team that really needed to get a solid win going into the playoffs, so that made matters worse. I will say, they have a shot at winning their first round matchup, if they are willing to lock in and compete for 40 minutes. They also gotta move the ball more.

Week 8 3-5 14

S/o to captain Abdelghani with the double nickel. 5 rebounds and 5 blocks! Down going into the half but Jenin rallied back to continue their 3 game win streak.

Week 7 2-5 13

Has Captain Abdelghani discovered the recipe to success? Jenin, winners of two in a row, seem to be playing some cohesive basketball. Jake was the leading scorer with 20 points 9-17 from the field, with Ian scoring 13 of his own. Also received solid contributions from Splash, Hamza as well as Raj. Could Jenin be on the come up?

Week 6 1-5 16

Pretender.

Week 5 0-5 18

No Ian in this one but it did seem that the shots were evenly distributed among the team. Back-to-back single digit losses. They are close.

Week 4 0-4 18

Different week, same result. Ian scores, very lackluster defense and another L. Far too talented of a group to remain winless.

Week 3 0-3 18

So they had their full squad for the first time all season and they went into the half looking great. It was a tie game, only allowing 27 points and looked like a basketball team. Where they seem to struggle is, they lack a true PG. Jake and Ian are scorers who want to shoot and attack the basket. Moe Rayyan and Raj are the shooters and are better off catching than creating for themselves. Ahmad Abdelghani, formerly known as Splash, needs to turn into Dime and get these guys open. But what do I know, not like I own a crystal ball or something.

Week 2 0-2 14

Starting 0-2, I can't judge this team as of now, especially when they are missing one of, if not the best player on their team, Jake. Ian Felix is creating a name for himself and making the claim for the best scorer in the league after averaging 39 points through the first two games. Splash had a solid game with a near triple double, but I'm waiting to see who will step up and be that second/third scorer on a consistent basis. Im going to give this squad a couple of more weeks before we can make any assumptions, but with Jake hopefully being back next game, they could make a run for their first dub!

Week 1 0-1 13

No Jake but Ian Felix was in his bag! 37 points on 14-19 from the field, with 5 boards 3 assists and 2 steals. Moe Rayyan had 14 of his own but not much production from the rest. Hamza Abdelghani should be taking no less than 10 shots a game and I think he should be more involved offensively. Interested in seeing how the Jake – Ian dynamic will work.

Preseason 0-0 13

Coach Abdelghani brings back a familiar squad with some new additions in Raj Patel and Jake. Last we saw Ian Felix he was a 20 ppg scorer and was causing havoc for defenses. They have shooting but their achilles heel may be size but what do I know, I write Power Rankings for a living.
