---|---|---|---|
Week 9 | 6-3 | 9 | I’m not sure this team is too happy with their first round matchup. It seems like they did enough to be placed higher, but they will end up in the middle of the pack and have to face Al-Wehdat. Obviously, this team is extremely top heavy. They do have other guys who have talent, but those guys need to step up and not rely on the greatness of Ty Jackson as much because he can’t do it alone. Malik, Medo, Mo Amin, OBD, Raj: How far do you guys want to go in the playoffs? Because their play is going to determine that. |
Week 8 | 5-3 | 10 | Saved by Ty’s heroics but they did look sloppy. Medo Zubi has been extremely inconsistent and needs to step it up. |
Week 7 | 4-3 | 10 | Did Yaffa give us the formula to stopping “Ty the Guy” Jackson, or was it just one of those games? I am not sure but it sure seemed contagious. Ty was 2-10 from 3, Malik was 3-10 from 3 and Medo was 1-4. Anytime your three best scorers struggle to that extent, the game is essentially over. Mo Amin was the lone bright spot with 21 and 12 but this team is on a two game skid, at the wrong time. |
Week 6 | 4-2 | 6 | Still not proven. |
Week 5 | 4-1 | 4 | I am actually pretty disappointed that Ty Jackson’s 30-piece streak came to an end. Still 28 points, 9 boards and 4 assists aint too shabby. The Zubi’s knocked down 4 threes each and continue their stellar play. Mo Amin has been another huge addition has he stuffed the stat sheet with 9 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Nablus’ first real test comes next week against Qalqilya. |
Week 4 | 3-1 | 6 | “Ty the Guy” Jackson does it again. He has played in four games thus far and has scored 32 points plus in all four. But the Nablus group can’t continue to rely as heavily on the superstar point guard. Malik tallied 19 of his own and knocked down 5 3’s and was the only other player in double digits. Medo Zubi has had back to back subpar games but I expect him to bounce back nicely the rest of the season. Up Next Al-Khalil. |
Week 3 | 2-1 | 9 | Ty Jackson is looking like the defacto best player in the league. His ability to score at all three levels is very impressive, but what is more impressive is his unselfishness and how much of a willing passer he is. Mr. Jackson led the way with 40 points on 8-11 from downtown. Mo Amin made his season debut and tallied 19 & 12, with Malik chipping in 11 of his own. This team has 4 scorers, but their achilles heel at this point in time is their defensive lapses. |
Week 2 | 1-1 | 11 | It’s not too often a team can replace someone as valuable as Abdelhadi within 24 hours. Insert Mr. Ty Jackson, who put up 32, 8, and 4! POTW?!?! This team could be on to something, especially when they get Mo Amin back from injury. Medo Zubi had another solid performance and is solidifying himself as a solid number 2 option and Malik also did his thing with 17 points. I could see this team making some noise in the weeks to come, especially if they continue to get productive play from their bigs! |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 15 | Nablus was handing out sweets all right, but it was in the form of wide open 3 pointers. In their defense they were without their best player in Abdelhadi as well as presumably another starter in Mo Amin. With Malik struggling from 3, it was Medo Zubi who led the team in scoring with 24 points. Unfortunate we didn’t get to see this matchup with them at full strength. |
Preseason | 0-0 | 7 | “Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa”, that’s the sound a GOAT makes for anyone that wasn’t aware. Abdelhadi is back and headlines this squad with the Zubi brothers in the backcourt along with Moe Amin upfront. The x-factor for this squad will be the development of Medo Zubi, as he showed glimpses of the player he could be. This team should be able to garner some wins and make some noise. |
