Week 10 0-10 12

I wanted them to at least get one, but I guess 0-10 is fit for them. Zain looked like the Zain we know with 20 points, along with Malik having 10 and amir with 14. I’m kind of disappointed medo didn’t show up cause his potential 10+ points could’ve stole them a win. I’m not sure how to feel about this team goin into playoffs, they really let me down this whole season.

Week 9 0-9 12

They were without their main player and GM Zain but that’s still no excuse against the also short staffed Jeddah team. We need to see more scoring and efficiency from the Zubi brothers that we know are capable of 15+ each. Amir Hassan with 16 points and 18 rebounds is great to see but again this team needs to figure something out FAST or else they’ll have a very short playoffs run.

Week 8 0-8 12

It’s been a cold summer for Suba, and I am starting to feel bad for these guys. Too talented of a group to be winless and their Achilles heel is on the defensive end. Outrebounded and shot more efficiently from their opponents, yet again. Two more games left on the docket, and although a win may not change their playoff positioning, this team could sure use some confidence going into September.

Week 7 0-7 12

Don’t worry Suba, at least you’ll make the playoffs. Jokes aside, this team is just running into some bad luck. Another single digit loss, despite shooting 57% from the field, outrebounding their opponent and having five guys in double digits. Sometimes you just got to tip your hat and move on.

Week 6 0-6 12

For starters, they showed way more heart and desire to play than last week. Playing with Zain and Yo shah but they kept it close throughout the entirety of the game. Rookie Mohammed “Medo” Zubi with his best performance yet with 17 points on 50% from the field. As for the rest of the Suba players, they struggled from an efficiency viewpoint. Malik went 4-16, Amir 2-14 and guest Jared 6-17. This team is too talented to be 0-6, but they need their best players to play better on a consistent basis.

Week 5 0-5 12

Dead last in almost every major statistical category and after a multitude of transactions, this team is still the bottom dweller of the league. Aside from Amir, no one from Suba played well and they need to get more out of Mohammed and Malik Zubi. Captain Zain brought in more shooting, yet the struggles continue for this squad, and they need to figure things out quick.

Week 4 0-4 12

After weeks of hearing his team lacked shooting, Zain traded Sohaib and Hosam Karkis for both Zubi’s. Despite only making a three each last night, Malik and Mohammed can now help take the pressure of Zain and allow him to dominate down low. No more excuses for Suba, as they now have 4 legit guys who can score double-digits every night, but the x-factor is Yo shah as he is not playing to his standards.

Week 3 0-3 12

Career game for the young Omar Sehwail, scoring a career-high 20 points on 7-9 shooting, and I do want to say he carried his team to stay in it, but the rest of the team actually did pretty well averaging a combined 9 points in this one on mostly efficient shooting. I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but despite the team effort, the box score says Zain was the difference here, and unusually in the negative sense. Their struggles continue as they still need some shooting threats, I’m sure GM Zain will look to acquire that skillset over the next week if he’s looking to contend this season.

Week 2 0-2 12

My biggest concern for this team was their lack of shooting from the perimeter from their guards and what do you know. We know what we will get from Zain on a week-to-week basis but someone else needs to step up. Sohaib? Yo Shah? Omar Sehwail? Anyone with a pulse help this man out.

Week 1 0-1 11

Too many team TO’s, not enough shooting and their best three players are all pass first. Zain with another Zain like stat line with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Sohaib added 13 of his own while Yo shah played as the primary ball handler. I don’t expect them to be near the bottom for very long.

Preseason 0-0 11

It's hard to have a preseason ranking because some teams will catch the shorter end of the stick. Zain is one of the best big men in the league and a former MVP. Sohaib and Yo Shah are great guards and should work very well together. I expect more consistency out of Omar Sehwail. But this team has no legitimate threat on the perimeter and that could hurt them as early as week 1.
