Week 10 7-3 1

I really can’t bet against this team, even tho the top 4 seeds are 7-3 I think this team got it. 4 people in double digit along with farhad dropping a monstrous 26 points. This was the perfect game for this team to pick themselves back up and they did not disappoint. Farhad beat the allegations of his old age getting to him, if he keeps playing like this along with qasem, Ameer , and omar hussien I think they’ll breeze through the playoffs. Also I didn’t know Ameer had a bag like that, had his defender on skates one play.

Week 9 6-3 6

And the drought continues for this squad with their 3rd loss in a row. It’s disappointing to see them go from 6-0 to 6-3 but it’s for sure that their offense isn’t the issue with them scoring 70+ but rather allowing 80 points is their issue defensively. Omar Hussein is a walking bucket Mashallah bringing in 26 and Amir Koyas showing us that not all ballers disappear after marriage with 21 of his own from ab efficient 75% shooting. We need to see more of Farhad offensively and defensively for this team to get back to the top of the rankings.

Week 8 6-2 4

Okay for starters they were without Farhad, which of course we all know the impact that has. BUT they did have a healthy lead after the first half and simply took their foot off the gas pedal. Omar Hussein led the group with 19 points as he has transformed into Mr. Efficiency this season. Expect better shooting nights from OQ and Ameer Koyas, as they combined to go 10-30. Overall, not a concerning loss, but one they clearly let slip away.

Week 7 6-1 2

Down goes Frazier! The lone undefeated team no more. Despite the loss, I wanted to give a s/o to Omar Hussein, you are hoopin’ my brotha. The often erratic and shot happy SG has really found a new home with this squad and is putting on a show night in and night out. Ameer Koyas with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the man who continues to defeat father time (Barak Allah) Farhad B with 15, 11 and 6! Now they were without OQ, which is a big piece but why not spice things up and drop them down a spot.

Week 6 6-0 1

Anotha one. It doesn’t seem like this team will lose a game going into the playoffs, but Timbuktu gave them a run for their money. Inefficient game from Farhad going 3-13 but still put together a great overall line of 15 points 15 rebounds and 7 assists. S/o to Omar Hussein who has been ballin’ the past two weeks! He finished this one with 24 points on 50% from the field, while missing his buddy OQ. And how can I forget Mr. Koyas, with his best scoring output of the season. With OQ they have 4 legit scorers, and a great supporting cast. The team at the top aint coming down anytime soon.

Week 5 5-0 1

And still undefeated and still #1. Replacing with Wajdi with Farhad has been a seamless transition for this team, and they just keep winning. Omar Hussein with great performance, going 10-17 overall and leading all scorers with 28 points. His counterpart Omar Qasem added 12 and the aforementioned Farhad had 13 of his own. They have taken down some of the league’s best and there is no reason to think they can be stopped now.

Week 4 4-0 1

“No Wajdi, no Problem”, but no one mentioned anything about Farhad joining the fold. One of MB’s goats came by and had a cool 26 and 8 on 7-15 and helped Lagos remain undefeated. Ameer Koyas added 17, with both Omar’s having 12 of their own. This team is just plug and play and everyone seems to be clicking.

Week 3 3-0 1

No Wajdi, no problem…yet again! Jay Wiggins is here to save the day, and by the looks of it, whether it’s Jay, Wajdi, or anyone else, that player is just the cherry on top to what is already a great squad. It’s becoming a regular occurrence to see Omar Qasem, Omar Hussein, and Ameer all put up double-digit points on relatively efficient shooting. Now add the overall size they present with Captain Salman among them as well, so this team is probably the most well-rounded in the league with some great depth. They were predicted to be upset, but went out and made a statement, making quick work of a very talented Tehran ral

Week 2 2-0 1

No Wajdi, no problem! OQ and OH had 19 and 17, respectively, while Ameer Koyas and Kareem combined for 15. Obviously with Wajdi playing they are an entirely different animal, but it is definitely a pleasant sight to see them winning without their superstar big.

Week 1 1-0 1

And just like that, we have a new number one. Finals MVP Wajdi picked up right where he left off since we last saw him and made his presence felt. 23 points, 7, 2 and 6 for the fan favorite, but it was a total team effort. Ameer Koyas added 16 points on 89% from the field. OQ and Omar Hussein had 12 and 14, respectively. They also contained Sarajevo’s guards and limited to them to one three point make as a team.

Preseason 0-0 2

After hearing rumors all week that Wajdi was the consensus number one pick, until minutes before the draft, safe to say Captain Salman isn’t complaining one bit. The finals MVP, as well as ROTY last season is a certified bucket! Salman added former teammate and champ, Ameer Koyas, scoring in Omar Hussein and playmaking 4man Omar Qasem. I don’t see this team getting outrebounded often, but they seem to be missing a true ball handler that can facilitate the offense. Ehh, what do I know, I just type power rankings for a living?
