Week 10 7-3 2

Mahrooz showing towfeek how to lead a team, dropping a stat line of 32 and 21. I personally thinks it makes the mvp race a lot closer than it seems. He didn’t hoop alone though, singer and mohmmed had an amazing game. Singer being the defensive tank that he was and having 18, along with mohmmed having a subtle 17.  I’m a little disappointed with Elias for having the worst game of his season giving up the most improved player. However, if these players stay consistent along with elias stepping up they’ll be scary to see in playoffs.

Week 9 6-3 3

4/12 is not something we’re used to seeing from the ROTY candidate. But in all seriousness it seems like it was one of those games where most players are just having a bad game without anything falling for them. I’m not too worried about them, they’ll get back in their grove next week.

Week 8 6-2 3

Whatever Ammar and Kareem had dialed up for their former teammate sure did work, because they kept the Shiesty contained. Omar Singer with 23 points and 12 rebounds, reminding everyone he is worthy of that first round selection. ROY candidate Mahrooz didn’t have the scoring output we have grown accustomed to, but 9 points 11 rebounds and 6 assists isn’t too shabby either. Elias continues his strong case for most improved player as he scored 10 points and played stellar defense. Kabul is rolling y’all.

Week 7 5-2 4

Tough loss against a talented bunch, especially since they shot 5-18 from three and got outrebounded by 15. Aside from a few miscues this team can easily be 6-1 at the moment, but 5-2 is nothing to sneeze about. Mahrooz continues his stellar play with 19 and 8, while Omar Singer added his 16, 4 and 2. Nice to see Moe Dirt back in the fold with 11 points on 5-8 shooting. He hasn’t been his usual self this season, but if he can be a consistent 3rd option, with the Elias maintaining his improvement thus far, Kabul will make a deep playoff push.

Week 6 5-1 3

Three words, MVP or ROTY? Can Mahrooz really win both? The man has been Kabul’s Golden ticket, while the rest of the league is getting plain ol’ chocolate bars (don’t get it, look it up). Omar Singer almost had a triple double but not with assists, rather with steals!!! Dude had his hands in the cookie jar all night! The dynamic duo is no joke, and they are causing havoc on a weekly basis. Moe Dirt, Sadat and Elias all played well and contributed, and they are now 5-1, and I believe just scratching the surface of how good they can be. C’mon cuz did you have any doubt with Ammar a

Week 5 4-1 3

Another week, another win for this squad as the dynamic duo Singer and Mahrooz both go off for a 20 piece. This team had a great defensive showing as they slowed down Zain to 8 points and neutralized the Suba cast. Looks like Ammar and Kareem served their guy’s cookies before the game because the team combined for 12 steals. This team is starting to get the rest they deserve after weeks of doubt and quite honestly, now that we are at the midway point, why not them?

Week 4 3-1 4

They are 3-1 despite Singer missing two games and not playing to his standards. Mahrooz has been the steal of the draft and Elias is in the running for most improved player. Ammar and Kareem are not new to building contenders and have the formula for success. Once this team finds a consistent third option, few teams will be able to match up with them.

Week 3 2-1 5

This game was a finger’s length away from being theirs, and this was the first time Singer and Mahrooz share the court. It’s also great to see that Elias has continued to contribute. I think this team will continue atop the standings, and the more time they have together, the more I expect Singer to fill in his pg role and get others involved. If it weren’t for one or two missed shots and defensive lapses, this game could’ve easily been theirs.

Week 2 2-0 3

Mahrooz is putting the league on notice and FAST. 34 points 9 rebounds and 4 assists, in a winning effort is big time. Elias with another strong game and guest Jay Wiggins did his thing with 25 points on 12-14 from the field. Very strong start to the team, but it will be interesting to see how they mesh when Omar Singer returns, as they have relied on guests in each of their first two games.

Week 1 1-0 6

No Omar Singer but no problem, as they invited star Anas Najib back. Rookie Mahrooz with a solid debut of 21 points and 8 rebounds. X-factor Elias had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assist, as Istanbul had no answer for the shifty guard. They forced 11 Istanbul turnovers and clamped their guards. Very good team win to start the season.

Preseason 0-0 7

Omar Singer is back after a one season hiatus and looks primed for a stellar campaign. Showcase standout Mahrooz Qaderi looks like a great player and guards like Sadat, Elias and Moe Dirt will take some pressure off Singer. Could be lacking a true big, but so is practically everyone in MB.
