New Jersey (North): Jeddah (D2)

WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 8 | 1-7 | 15 | Another game of leading at halftime and yet another L. Mo Amin will never be able to live down that fact. But the savvy MB vet had another great season, and his teammates could not have asked for more. Sohaib did a fine job orchestrating this offense and they got solid contributions all season from Haseeb and Jehad. I don’t care what seeding says, this team will nt be an easy out. |
Week 7 | 1-6 | 13 | Had this game ended after the 1st half they would be higher in the rankings but that’s not how the cookie crumbles. Overall, they had solid contributions from Jehad with 15 points, Mo Amin had 15 points and 8 rebounds and Sohaib with 19. |
Week 6 | 1-5 | 15 | As their leading scorer mentioned so eloquently, “They would be 4-2-1 if games ended by half-time”. That’s all you need to know when it comes to this team. |
Week 5 | 1-4 | 15 | They were without Sohaib so I will try and be nice. Last week, I anointed them the best of the then "1-3" teams. Good thing I am not a scout. Damascus is finally in the win column because of y'all. |
Week 4 | 1-3 | 11 | Out of all the 1-3 teams, they seem to be the most complete. They have guard play with Sohaib and size with Mo Amin and Tabty. Their schedule hasn’t been difficult as their last two losses have been by single digits. If they lose to Damascus next week, then I may have to change my tone. |
Week 3 | 1-2 | 11 | They lost to their village buddies but no harm no foul. This team is missing a legit go to scorer and I expected it to be Mo Amin or Jehad but it hasn’t quite worked out that way thus far. |
Week 2 | 1-1 | 12 | After just getting by Cairo Week 1, they had a more formidable foe. Lahore made timely bucket after timely bucket and Jeddah found themselves in too large of a deficit early on. Still, I do see promising things from this squad, and they do have some winnable games on their schedule. |
Week 1 | 1-0 | 11 | Wasn’t the prettiest win but they got it done. Mo Amin, Jehad and Tabty bring size that not many teams cant matchup against and Sohaib is a very crafty guard. I think as the season progresses we will see a better version of this team but for now, number 11 seems about right. |
