Week 8 7-1 2

Another year and another strong finish by Weiss and company. Their only L came with a half-depleted roster and that was still a five-point game. Mombasa might be the biggest threat to Islamabad’s chances, as they are far and away the most balanced team in the league. Mo Masri had a career season at the youthful age of 35, Raza returned to form, Elias continues to improve on the offensive end and oh that Pete Brown guy, he’s just getting warmed up. I mentioned this before, and I would like to emphasize how easy Sadat’s job is as a point guard on this unit. He can look at any direction h

Week 7 6-1 2

Woohoooo they won by forfeit, so less for me to write.

Week 6 5-1 2

Mama there goes that Man! Mo Masri does it again folks! He torched Granada on 66% shooting from the field and hitting 8 three pointers. Not sure what the most three’s in a season is, but perhaps our friends over at the podcast can do some research and figure that out. Back to Mombasa. Pete Brown with 16 and 15, Raza balled out with 19 and Elias had 11 of his own. Sadat may have the easiest job on the planet with the abundance of options he has as the floor general.

Week 5 4-1 2

Okay, so they were without Pete Brown, which as well all know, should account for something. They lost by 5 and got outrebounded by 4, and Pete is going to give you that 10 min into the game. Nonetheless, they missed a whole lot of 3s. A week after setting the new 3pt record, Masri was the only Mombasa player to hit any, as he went 4-11. Elias has not looked like himself since his great start back in weeks 1 and 2. Again, I am making a lot of excuses for this team, but they are still my favorite to win it all.

Week 4 4-0 1

First and foremost, congrats to Mo Masri on breaking the MB record for 3points in a game. In the words of Towfeek from the MB podcast, “some of yall can’t make 13 threes during a shootaround at the park, wide open”. I think that’s what he said. Regardless, he was deadeye. Oh, and that Pete Brown fellow, 24 points, 13 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Mombasa FTW.

Week 3 3-0 2

They just play pretty basketball man. Guard play is spectacular, forwards are grown men and you can’t help but love Weiss. In all seriousness, I don’t like it when they are good but holy smokes, they look awesome right now and could finish the season undefeated.

Week 2 2-0 3

The Afghan Kawhi was at it again. After winning a very controversial POTW award, he showed his haters that he’s that guy. 35 points on 13-23 from the field with 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Wow. He is playing so well, that we haven’t even mentioned Pete Brown or Raza “Sonic” Nassim. Mombasa is back folks, and honestly, I hate it.

Week 1 1-0 4

You would think Weiss was recruiting for Division 1 Powerhouse the way he continues to recycle talent for Mombasa. Pete Brown looked like Julius Randle with post moves last night and he wasn’t even trying 0_o! Raza, Sadat and Masri are back together, and they added Ali Omari to help clean up the dirty work. I did not expect this game to come down to the wire but props to Alexandria. Honest question, is Elias the most underrated player on the league? Dude just gets buckets, is super athletic and I have never heard him speak. Reminds me of an Afghan Kawhi Leonard.
