---|---|---|---|
Week 6 | 4-2 | 2 | Al-Andalus finally got back to doing what they do best, finding points all over the court, and sharing the rock. Turnovers were under control, and the team was hustling all 40 minutes. How about a combined 43 rebounds between 3 players and an incredible 18 rebounds from DevonTe G. They got a key victory and they've earned themselves a playoff week #1 bye. |
Week 5 | 3-2 | 4 | Power rankings guy is getting really tired of these dudes. Horrible shooting from outside the arc, too many turnovers and most importantly, repeated defensive lapses. Credit to Delhi who exposed their zone with back-door cuts and a well-paced offense. They tied the game series up 1-1 now. Will be interesting to see these 2 teams matchup for playoffs down the line. But one things for sure, Al-Andalus is NOT playing like the reigning champs. |
Week 4 | 3-1 | 4 | The +1 in the win collum is just about the only good thing you can say about Al-Andalus this week. Medina cracked the code on slowing these guys down, 1. Stopping the fast break and 2. Forcing them into foul trouble. Fouls have been a huge problem for this team all year. The half-court offense looked sluggish and flat. They got the win, but, this was not their best showing, and if teams continue forcing them into half-court sets, they'll have to adjust quickly or we may see them tumble down the standings. |
Week 3 | 2-1 | 2 | Big day for Al-Andalus getting a crucial win over the formerly undefeated Delhi. 2 scorers at 20+ and Drew Mohr continues his reign of double-doubles. He’s on the fast track to another MVP unless someone else steps up. The key to beating these guys is yet to be found (except by Islamabad I suppose). |
Week 2 | 1-1 | 3 | Al-Andalus slips 2 spots down to 3 on this week's power rankings. They looked pretty awful in the last couple of minutes of this game. Up by 7 with only a few minutes left, they completely let this one slip away, and it was ugly. Players fouling out, turning the ball over, and taking ill-advised shots. They simply couldn't find an answer to Islamabad's offense. It'll take a good effort to move back up these charts next week, with a game against Delhi coming up. |
Week 1 | 1-0 | 1 | Last seasons champs falling right back into the first place spot here. Missing 3 key players they managed a league high 78 points. PG Dylan W was nearly unstoppable, his 36 points propelled this team. Looking good for these guys moving forward. |
