Power Ranking By Week
WEEK RECORD RANK COMMENTS
Week 9 5-4 10

I guess I’ll go with Mombasa, despite the few ugly losses they had this season.

Week 8 4-4 11

Struggled shooting the ball as a collective unit. Masta Weiss needs to get things in order because now is no time to play their worst brand of basketball.

Week 7 4-3 9

WELP, I mean they did not have Raza but nonetheless, WELP.

Week 6 4-2 4

MB’s version of the Patriots are clicking. They have so many weapons offensively it’s almost an embarrassment of riches. Most under the radar player in this league is Elias. 15 ppg close to 49% from the field and nearly 45% from 3 and yet no one brings up his name. Just imagine how scary they will be, once Masri gets going. #Weisswants8

Week 5 3-2 5

What if I told you, Medina held Raza and Masri to a combined 12 points? Guaranteed win, right? Well, that wasn’t the case this past week. Let me introduce you to Zahir Daftani, who is averaging 23.5 ppg since making his return to MB and has an MBR of over 9,000 (Dragonball Z reference, if you don’t get it, sorry don’t know what to tell ya). Mombasa is built to win shootouts and games just like the one against Medina, low scoring sloppy games. They’re only getting better.

Week 4 2-2 8

Another week = another week of new guys coming onto Mombasa. Zahir Daftani with 25 to go alongside Raza’s 16, 9 and 6. They’ve played well, the past two weeks. Let’s see how they prevail against their next few opponents.

Week 3 1-2 13

Won a game they should have won, but who would have expected for them to nearly double Suba in points?!?!?! Is Weiss hurt? Player, coach?

Week 2 0-2 13

I said it last week and I’ll say it again, this team is not the same without Sadat. Perhaps Weiss will return from injury as their new point guard. They won’t go 0-3, no need to panic. We will be tooting their horn come playoff time.

Week 1 0-1 11

This team is not the well fueled engine we know without Raza. I think not having Sadat is going to hurt them a lot! He was easily their most unselfish player and one of the best floor generals in the league. I’m sure Captain Weiss searched long and hard around his local 24-hour gyms for a new PG. I mean adding Farhad was a great move though. This team will only climb up these rankings.
