Power Ranking By Week | |||
WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 9 | 8-1 | 1 | They showed the most poise all season. They were the most consistent all season and they will be holding the chip come early April. Congrats on your MVP Muj, enjoy your free dinner at your cousin’s restaurant. |
Week 8 | 7-1 | 1 | MVP, MVP, MVP! Took down Mombasa without his partner in crime. They held Raza to 0-8 from the field, Masir 1-8 from 3 and Zahir shot less than 27% overall :0! Oh and by the way Muj sprinkled in 25 points on 9-12 fom the field, and the Jean machine had 14 and 14. Muj is coming for the MB chip |
Week 7 | 6-1 | 2 | Big turnaround in the second half and a heck of a performance from MVP frontrunner Muj. Down two KEY players and that didn’t faze the former champs as they continue to assert themselves amongst the league’s best. |
Week 6 | 5-1 | 2 | Really thought long and hard about placing them at number one, but I’m sure being number one in the standings outweighs number one in the power rankings. If I had a pick for MVP 6 games through the season, my pick would be Muj. 18.3 ppg, close to 7 rebounds and 5 assists, not to mention he is 45% from the field and 39% from 3. Might not put up the 30 and 40-point games like some of his counterparts but the man is efficient. Jean machine with a double-dip, Yo-Shah adding 13 and Salmon hitting 4-8 from the great beyond. Tripoli looks unbeatable. |
Week 5 | 4-1 | 2 | 3 guarantees in life, death, taxes and Muj hitting you with a jab step jumper in your grill while you say “how the heck did he hit that?”. Put up 79 without his running mate in Yo Shah, but all good Salmon hitting 8 threes makes up for that. |
Week 4 | 3-1 | 2 | I heard Muj was booking his trip to Cancun during the blowout. They have 4 guys averaging more than 11 points per game and they are in the top half in points allowed. Very complete team in Tripoli. |
Week 3 | 2-1 | 4 | Last week I mentioned how great Muj is at scoring despite his jumper not falling. Well, Lagos got a taste of that wet jumper. The 2019 winter champs have depth man, and they are an unselfish ball club. Jean came close to a double-double without scoring! They’ll finish the season 9-1. Muj finishes second in MVP voting, coming up short because he goes away to some Caribbean resort while his team getting their mamba mentality on. |
Week 2 | 1-1 | 10 | Want to know what makes Muj so good? He gets to the FT line when his usually automatic shot, ain’t falling. 18-26 from the charity stripe as a team and great defense towards the end of the game and you’re in the win column. |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 10 | the champs from two seasons ago suffered a very shocking loss. Still too early to worry. I love the aggression from Jean Gomez. I think he’s the best big in this league when he wants to be. Not saying he takes games off, but when playing with Muj and Yo-Shah you may be asked to take a step back, which isn’t a bad thing at all. This team will be more than fine. |
