WEEK RECORD RANK COMMENTS
Week 10 5-5 17

They have had attendance issues all season, usually having to play with 5. They didn’t have enough and took a forfeit loss to end the season, bringing their seed down to 17. They have Suba round 1, and Tac and team are no pushovers.

Week 9 5-4 15

I am not sure what happened the first half of the game, but they were down 20 at halftime. That is a very deep hole to come out of. They did their best in the second half, outscoring Tripoli 32-20, but it wasn’t enough for them to get the win. Anas and Mo need to shake it off and end the season strong as they have arguably their toughest game of the schedule next week against Dhaka.

Week 8 5-3 14

Anas Zubi! He is back at it again, dropping a 40 spot on 16-22 shooting. Was he not being double-teamed, or even triple-teamed? Was his brother attempting to guard him? Looking at the box score, that probably was the case. Even though they played the absolute worst team in the league, 40 points is always impressive. Hats off to you, sir.

Week 7 4-3 16

Losing to the undefeated team by only 5 points isn’t bad. Anas dropped his normal buckets, while Mo did most of the rebounding. Yama fouling out left them with only 4 guys. Playing short really hurts teams, and makes them play defense softer than they normally would with the fear of fouling out and playing with 4. Tehran is a very good team, and I feel like 16 is kind of low, but this year has so many good teams it is tough to rank them higher.

Week 6 4-2 15

There is a positive out of losing a tough game. This was only Yama’s second game played this season, but he went from going 0-7 to 7-14. Anas and Mo can definitely use another scorer. The Yanes family got the best of them this game, which leaves Tehran stuck around the middle of the power rankings. They have an undefeated Sarajevo team coming to town next game. A win there will skyrocket their ranking.

Week 5 4-1 12

I don’t know if Tehran likes to make games that they should win by a good margin close, but this is the second one in a row. It was basically Anas and Mo vs. Palermo. The thing about that is, Anas and Mo are good enough that they still got the W. They need the rest of the team to contribute significantly more than they currently are.

Week 4 3-1 12

42. Wow. Anas putting the team on his back with Tehran missing Mo Amin, and then Ali hurting his ankle. Even with the extremely impressive performance, a 1 point victory against Kashgar is not what it takes to move up the power rankings.

Week 3 2-1 11

They battled against a very good Kabul team. Great offensive showing, with Anas and Mo dropping 31 and 26 respectively. In this league, if you let up 86 points, there is a 90% chance you aren’t going to win the game. Kudos to Tehran either way for keeping up, especially with only 5 players.

Week 2 2-0 10

Shooting over 50% from the field, 40% from 3, and 70% from the line will usually get you the W in MB. They look to keep the winning streak going against a very tough Kabul team.

Week 1 1-0 12

Huge win for Tehran. Anas Zubi was an amazing FA signing after the demise of Jeddah, dropping 19 on 8 shots! Can Anas fill Abdelrahman’s shoes?

Preseason 0-0 18

The loss of Abdelrahman will be huge. Mo Amin is back to doing things on his own. Unfortunately, in this league you need more than one guy. Tehran clearly knows how to scout talent, since they had the ROY last season, so maybe one of the new guys will stand out yet again.
