Power Ranking Trend

Power Ranking By Week
WEEK RECORD RANK COMMENTS
Week 10 8-2 5

A classic 4v4 battle. The craziest stat to me is the fact that Skyler averaged just 5.25 boards per game, and he ended with 24 rebounds! I know Kenny dropped 41, Ed almost had a triple-double, Steve had 24 and 17, but Skyler! Jakarta slowly crept up the rankings and ended the season top 5, probably where they deserved to be all along.

Week 9 7-2 7

Along with Timbuktu, they are sitting at 7-2 with a +5.8 point differential. That most likely won’t be enough to get them a bye week, but boy oh boy has this team been playing great. Ed is quietly having one of his best seasons in his MB high TWENTY EIGHT seasons in the league. He is shooting a career high 51.8% from the field, and one make away from shooting 50% from behind the arc. Jakarta is rolling and they don’t look like they can be stopped.

Week 8 6-2 8

Jakarta continues to move its way up the power rankings, slowly but surely. The face of MB Edriss Froogh with a great shooting performance, hitting 6 of 11 3 pointers and ending with a 24-6-4-2 stat line. Steve took care of business down low as he usually does, and had his usual double double with 12 and 14. This is another squad who will end 8-2, and as long as they have a full roster, teams should try their best to stay out of their way in the playoffs.

Week 7 5-2 10

The win I finally was waiting for! They beat the defending champs and they had both Muj and Jean present. They needed Kenny, Steve, and Ed all to show up, and they did. If Joe shows up as well, this team can battle with anyone in the league. They should win out the rest of the season barring any upsets.

Week 6 4-2 13

This was the game I was waiting for to see if Jakarta can make that significant jump in the rankings. Ed was soaking up the Cali sun, and Joe couldn’t buy a bucket. Kenny and Steve tried to shoulder the load, but came up short. I do think that Kenny and Steve could lead them to a victory against most teams in this league by themselves, but they are going to need the full arsenal of players if they are playing Amman.

Week 5 4-1 11

A win vs. Bukhara looks really good, but when you see that they barely won against only 4 players, it doesn’t look as nice. I thought this was the week they make a big jump, but due to unfortunate circumstances, they are stuck at 11.

Week 4 3-1 11

Beating Riyadh by 12 isn’t what I wanted to see from Jakarta. Like I always say, a win is a win, but these games you have to get your score differential up. Kenny Ziem, welcome to Jakarta. He finally had his coming out party dropping 28 on 10-14 shooting. Netti didn’t have his normal performance, and next week against Bukhara, they are going to need participation from all of their scorers. That means Kenny, Netti, Ed, and Joe all need to do what they do best.

Week 3 2-1 12

It sucks I can’t move Jakarta up more, especially after beating a good Sana’a team. Ed and Joe lit it up from all over. Next week they play a lowly Riyadh team, so I don’t see them moving too much after that game either. Don’t sleep on this team. The addition of Kenny is very significant, although the box score may not necessarily show it.

Week 2 1-1 12

In order for Jakarta to really make a move, they have to beat some of the top teams in the league. This game was their shot to jump up to top 8 in the rankings. Looking at their schedule, I see them beating the lower ranked teams, and struggling with the top tier teams. They might have another .500 season ahead of them.

Week 1 1-0 11

This team performed exactly how I imagined. The addition of Kenny was the much needed piece to make this team a legit contender. Kenny didn’t stop Steve from still doing what he does, and Ed and Joe shot lights out.

Preseason 0-0 12

Huge addition in signing long time Cordoba star, Kenny. Kenny and Steve will be a tough combo to guard, along with Ed missing 3s the entire game.
