Forfeiting stinks. I don’t know if people had personal issues that came up, but forfeiting will bring you to the bottom.

Will Goldberg be an unrestricted free agent again? After this disappointing season, I am sure he is leaning towards the free agency market again.

Regardless of any poor shooting performances or troubles communicating on defense, I’m going to have to cut this team some slack. Despite having lost two proven and talented MB threats in the Ahmad bros (while we make du’a for their health, ameen), this group has still shown instances of promise in smoothly running their offense. Oh, and also, PSA: Ahmed Fayoumi is back!!! Out of courtesy, I’m now putting the league on notice with his presence. He and singer will make for a crazy threat of a backcourt if they learn to work well with one another, and with Daniel Goldberg and Ahmad Sehwail leading the frontcourt, a run can certainly be made

Biggest shock of week 2. There’s no reason that this group should be getting blown out by 35 points by any team in this league, especially being that they had a full roster. 1-11 and 3-12 from Singer and Anwar, respectively, isn’t going to cut it by any means when going up against such a deep group in Tehran. They’re going to have to learn how to start off games strong and keep their momentum going from there. Hopefully it builds off of, what should be, a week 3 win against a young Damascus squad.

Regardless of their performances, there’s just too much depth in Granada to rule them out when talking opponents you don’t want to face in the playoffs. However, going into any second half down 14 is never an ideal situation, even for such a talented group. 17 points from Singer, though effective, isn’t gonna cut it when your best player in Anwar is shooting 1-7. Though he was out the second half due to injury (as we pray for his and everyone’s health), it wasn’t looking like they would’ve had a plan to get out of being torched by Mo Masri. Look

Help me make sense out of this. The championship team of two seasons ago that was lacking a true big man has now added Daniel Goldberg? And add Sehwail and Diya instead of George? And they’re playing at Coastal again?!?! Regular season should be up and down due to insane competition, despite the extremely talented likes of the Ahmad brothers, but don’t cancel out the possibility of another Cinderella story come playoff time.
