New Jersey (North): Dhaka (D2)

WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 9 | 6-3 | 7 | No Ali, but still got it done against a very good Tehran team. I think they wanted to lose a couple early so they wouldn’t have to lose one when it matters. The four-peat is in play. |
Week 8 | 5-3 | 8 | Going to keep saying it, Dhaka looks to be back. Ripped off four straight wins now, got two tough ones left. Expect them to find a way to stay hot going into the post season. They may have came into the season thinking the 4Peat was a sure thing. Maybe a change of mentality is what has brought them back to life after a bad start. |
Week 7 | 4-3 | 10 | When Dhaka rounds out the top 10, you know you have some SOLID competition in the league. They look like they’re back to their old ways. They disposed of Timbuktu pretty early, but let up a bit. Fahad splashed, Ameer doubled doubled, Farzad dished. There’s a reason why they’ve won three straight championships. |
Week 6 | 3-3 | 10 | They're back. |
Week 5 | 2-3 | 12 | Damascus makes everyone look good, but this might be what Dhaka needed to get going again. |
Week 4 | 1-3 | 14 | Looking extremely un-Dhaka like. No rhythm, no chemistry, out of sync, BUT they are Dhaka. I’ll count them out when another team KOs them in a playoff game. They have a handful of cupcakes coming up, this is there chance to smell blood and get it going again. The top of the league is crowded, but Dhaka still has the talent to be on top - it just hasn’t materialized this season. |
Week 3 | 1-2 | 7 | I think it’s fair to star creeping Dhaka up to where they are used to being. If the playoffs started tomorrow, I still have to go with them - they’ve proven that slow starts don’t phase them and they flat out find ways to win. |
Week 2 | 0-2 | 9 | Don’t get me wrong, Mombasa is a good team, but they aren’t the Mombasa of the past. This was a very self inflicted loss. Constant foul trouble for their bigs and ice cold shooting by Farzad left Dhaka in a bad spot against a defensively sound team. Salman got all he could handle from Daniel in a lopsided battle on the glass. Ali aaaaalmost got them the win at the end of the game, putting up a pretty good look from deep. I know they can flip the switch and I have no doubt in the 3 time defending champs, but maybe have the rest of the league caught up?? |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 8 | Championship champagne still didn’t wear off. They’ll be back. |
