Week 9 5-4 5

No Shahsamads were present in this loss.

Week 8 5-3 5

Muj. It’s that simple.

Week 7 4-3 6

The Shahsamand show was in full effect. Very difficult team to beat when the bros put up 41.

Week 6 3-3 7

Off season acquisitions were supposed to make this team better offensively, even when Muj wasn't present. Was not the case this week...

Week 5 3-2 4

Let this one slip away. Looked exception in the first half, defense was swarming, and the Himey clap was in full effect. Fast-forward to the second half and offense got stagnant, non-fluid, and stiff. Muj accounted for 8 of their 15 made field goals, while the rest of the team shot 7/33. Muj will consistently get his when he wants to, the difference and ultimately the team’s success lies within the play of Yousef and Mo - when both click, Jakarta is unbeatable. Also, defense is been very lackadaisical for an Ibrahim Omar led team. Hopefully just because they know they have a handful of offensive weapons, they didn’t decide to stop playing defense.

Week 4 3-1 3

Overcame a halftime deficit to hand Lahore their first loss of the year. Story of the game has to be Jakarta’s ability to pressure defenses and get to the line. In past games it was Yousef, this week it was Muj. Mo Masri did his thing from beyond the arc, going 5/8, spreading out the Lahore defense very thin. Jakarta didn’t look exceptional defensively as they usually do, but Lahore didn’t have enough firepower without Jon. When the offense and defense click simultaneously, they’ll be able to beat anyone.

Week 3 2-1 3

They are who we thought they were: Loaded. Muj and Mo have been doing there thing for years, but man oh man this Yousef sure is nice. Add Shareef’s defensive presence, neutralizing Jon Mingo, Omar Khalaf’s rebounding, and man you have a team that is more solid than NYC traffic. The consistency is the question, but when they work, they work.

Week 2 1-1 10

Good win against an above average squad. As good as Mujtaba is, his brother is really a difference maker. I felt all of last year that he was Mombasa’s X-Factor, that sentiment has not changed, it’s actually been confirmed. His aggressiveness separates him from the rest of the team - Muj is tremendous, but it seems like he plays pass first, Mo Masri is very solid in the catch and shoot and transition game, but Yousef is their best option in the iso-half court game. He finds ways to get to the rim and finish in traffic, he knocks down shots when defenders play off, and he gets himself to the line. He’s what can take this Jakarta team to the next level. They have a stretch against the best teams in the league, I wouldn’t be surprised if they come out of there unscathed.

Week 1 0-1 10

Did not see this coming.
