New Jersey (North): Delhi (D2)
Power Ranking By Week | |||
WEEK | RECORD | RANK | COMMENTS |
---|---|---|---|
Week 9 | 3-6 | 6 | After a forgetful performance from its top two scorers, Delhi will need to use Suba as the proverbial punching bag in its quest to upset a higher seed again this season. |
Week 8 | 3-5 | 6 | Bilal Ghous filled the boxscore in easily his best game of the season. Delhi has an intriguing matchup next week versus red-hot Istanbul. I wouldn't count on them winning next week, but this team has surprised me in the past. |
Week 7 | 2-5 | 7 | Despite bringing multiple guest passes, they couldn't overcome Beirut. Delhi is at the bottom of the pack in defense and rebounding, which can be problematic for their last two games. |
Week 6 | 2-4 | 6 | There's nothing like facing two winless teams when you're a winless team yourself. Two wins versus the hapless Suba and Sana'a squads may have gotten Delhi back on track. Rematch of last season's exciting playoff battle versus Beirut will be a good barometer to see if they're for real. |
Week 5 | 1-4 | 7 | Finally got their much needed first win, but it got interesting at the end. Only three players scored - Alphonse Baja, Amir Sattar, and Murad Ali. |
Week 4 | 0-4 | 8 | This team should have been at least 1-3 by now. They do have a soft schedule coming up, so a win should be on the horizon. |
Week 3 | 0-3 | 6 | Close loss to a good team |
Week 2 | 0-2 | 6 | Now that they're done with Mombasa and Mecca, Delhi *should* go on a nice win streak. |
Week 1 | 0-1 | 4 | They were missing more than half their team, so can't knock them for that. |
Preseason | 0-0 | 4 | They had an up-and-down season in the Spring, but a good showing in the playoffs. |
