They have beaten two competitive ball clubs. 4 of their 5 starters scored double figures and they forced 12 TO’s as a team.

Grabbed 40 rebounds as a team WITHOUT Omar Mana! Not to mention they beat a Mombasa team that had Raza.

Not sure anyone saw this coming. Musa Yanes hit 9 3’s, the last being the go-ahead bucket! Mairaj has these young bucks outperforming expectations, or maybe this just what they expected out of themselves.

Who says defense can’t win you games?!?!? Ali has his boys rolling into week 3, 2-0. 

You guys will be fine, 2-1 this time next week.

Their speed and chemistry were on full display against a Jakarta group that plays with one guard. Farzad and Fahad each with 17. Mo and Ameer combined shot 8-9, for 24 points and 17 rebounds. That’s what I’m talking about! Dhaka is going for title number 4. 

This team is missing something. A super reliable PG who can control the tempo of the game, or maybe even a freak of nature SF who is a menace defensively. 

I guess having their captain back didn’t result into a win after all. Although, he did put up a real nice stat line. 

Want to know what makes Muj so good? He gets to the FT line when his usually automatic shot, ain’t falling. 18-26 from the charity stripe as a team and great defense towards the end of the game and you’re in the win column.

Is H-Mac holding back?

Another solid first half for this team, followed by another atrocious second half. Fortunately for them, they escaped with the victory. Very impressive shooting day from Billal. Tough matchup next week against a much more physical Jakarta squad. 

I said it last week and I’ll say it again, this team is not the same without Sadat. Perhaps Weiss will return from injury as their new point guard. They won’t go 0-3, no need to panic. We will be tooting their horn come playoff time. 

They were down big in the first half and made it a ball game down the stretch. The rebounding margin ended up being the difference maker. Kareem and Omar are very capable of keeping them in every game and once Chris gets going, this team won’t be a fun match up.

Tall, lengthy group, who can all step out and shoot from 3. Nice to see them get in the win column. 

Tehran is not an easy squad to go up against but they held their own. They need a consistent second scorer.

Close one, but not close enough. O’Neal Matthews with 27 and 12, nice work. 

They put up a fight in the second half, but coming back from 23 is not easy task. No one aside from Ahmad Abdelghani came close to double digit shot attempts. Ahmad Sehwail with a nice double-double. This team has the pieces to keep games close, I just question their mental makeup and willingness to play team basketball.
