1. (3) Bukhara (4-1)- Best all-around team. Great win with a late comeback against Medina.
2. (4) Fez (3-2)- Sound team, with 2-nail biting losses to great teams. Fez is a difficult matchup week in and week out.
3. (1) Istanbul (4-1)- Surpising loss to Islamabad as they never got to within 7 points in the final minutes.
4. (5) Mecca (4-1)- Took it to an undersized Cordoba squad - face the exact opposite against Istanbul week 6.
5. (2) Kabul (3-2)- Tough loss to Damascus as they couldnt focus too much on Hassan with Styles on the court.
6. (7) Medina (2-3)- Had Bukhara beat but got outplayed in the final minutes. Still waiting for a 2nd scorer to emerge.
7. (8) Damascus (3-2)- One more Ringer-pass remaining until the real Damascus comes to play.
8. (6) Cairo (2-3)- Almost stole a game from Baghdad without Isaiah. With both guards in, they'll be tough to contain.
9. (10) Islamabad (2-3)- If the 5-guards show up every week, watch-out. Seemed like every shot was a good one.
10. (12) Baghdad (2-3)- With Naseed on his way out, Jason lacks size but makes up for it with leadership on the court.
11. (9) Cordoba (1-4)- Couldve used Hasham on Thursday for balance. Too dependant on Ariel at this point.
12. (11) Jerusalem (0-5)- Too many turnovers are killing this team. John and Bobby have been complete no-shows.

Whoever created the poll should realize that Fez is in the top 4 and not Damascus. That should be changed, thanks.
Fez - which country is it in?

How can you give Damascus a good ranking when they havent won a game yet without bringing a guest shorter than 6'3?

Ranking the teams from 2-5 was extremely difficult. Fez is playing great, and both their losses were 1-pt games in the final minute. Kabul is probably the best of the 4 teams, and should probably be ranked higher. Istanbul was beat by a team with absolutely no size, which was strange. But when you look at their makeup, if you contain either sean or greg, is offense coming from anywhere else? Meccas 1 loss came without Mus on the floor, which when you think of it, with Naiems injury, the only have 2 backcourt players, so if one gets in foul trouble its a big lienup that'll have difficult guarding quick players - kinda like Istanbul against islamabad.

You can argue almost any order for teams 2-5. But I definitely dont put damascus up there - not until they play a game without a guest and win. so far, they are 0-1 (week 4) - but even that game is difficult to judge because Baghdad had 2 guests.

the standings page is not fully correct. all the teams with the same record are just ordered by +/-. the first tie breaker is head to head. in this case, fez cannot be higher than kabul and kabul cannot be higher than damascus.

the poll question is using the current top 4

These are power rankings, not standings.

Cool I understand. The standings should be fixed then to avoid further confusion.

On another note, it's very difficult to gage this league so far. Any team in the top 6-8 teams can win it all, maybe even 10.

After 5 weeks, there's no unbeatens. Wow, this might be a new MB league record. Like Omar said, top half of the league is very even. It's all gonna depend on matchups week to week.
