They didn’t have their big man Surakata again this week and still got it done against Nazareth, a team people thought could take the #1 spot from Yazur. The dynamic duo of Moumtaz and Salihoun combining for 42 points on over 50% shooting. Taka with 10 boards and 9 assists again showing his invaluable leadership for this team.

Omar “THIS IS MY GAME” Abbassi put up 34 points and grabbed 7 boards as he absolutely lit up Tulkarem this week. Brother Islam Abbassi with his own 23 points on 9-12 shooting. Shoutout to Big O for holding Messiah to a modest 13 points this game.

Omar Mana did everything he could to keep his team in it, scoring 27 points and grabbing 13 boards. The rest of the team just couldn’t get it going, so now instead of claiming the #1 spot they fall to #3. Watch out though, I hear they’re coming for vengeance.

I know Rooz’s back hurt after this game, because he put the whole team on his back and went to battle. 28 points and 8 boards while getting triple teamed in a zone defense is impressive. Hopefully with Singer and Sal back it’ll lighten his load.

Too many snowFLAKEs this season, and it’s summer league!

Big Moose finally showing up some of that magic he puts on display in the north league. 19 points on 8-9 shooting is crazy. Don’t overlook the fact that he dished out a team high 4 assists. Floor general Moose while entering playoff time is not a sight that other teams want to see.

Playing zone and leaving a top shooter in the league open almost every possession may not have been such a good game plan. Subhan and Messiah were the only ones the crack double figures, but more than offense this team definitely has some things to figure out defensively. C’mon guys, you have the tallest player in the league on the floor at all times.

No Mohamed, no AB, so Omar Abuattieh said fine, I’ll do it myself. He put up 16 points and 7 boards on 70% shooting while hitting some crazy Dirk-esque fadeaways on the baseline that left Akka scratching their heads. He almost willed them to victory, but unfortunately the rest of his team also decided that they weren’t showing up this week.

They made a late run but it was too little too late at that point. The star guard duo of Alassane and Husan still have things to work out between them. Cho hit some big 3s late to keep them in it as he put up a season high 11 points and 13 boards.

4 players in double figures, Usman leading the team in scoring, outrebounding the other team, well that’s not something we’re used to seeing from Akka. Let’s see if they can carry this momentum into the final game of the season and hopefully the playoffs.

4 out of 5 players in double figures and a whole lot of passion. They get their second win and are brewing up some momentum. I don’t think any team would like to see them first round.
