LAST WK: 1

No Alassane, No Abu, no problem. Yazur said they're still winning it all.

There’s clearly no stopping this team, going against a 6 foot 8 giant in Messiah without Surakata after their roster got nerfed and still winning is impressive to say the least. Moumtaz with a cool 21 points on 9-12 shooting and Taka with 8 assists. Who will be the first team to (legitimately) beat Yazur?

Lil O making sure his North team’s struggles aren’t carrying over to Central, as he drops his best statline of the season with 24 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals. He also got support from young buck and family member Samih who dropped his own 15 on an efficient 7-10 shooting. Doesn’t look like this team is slowing down anytime soon.

Is Omar Mana the best big man in the league? He cements himself as such week after week, putting up another 20-10 game with 25 points and 13 rebounds. His running mate Shafic with his own 19, 5, and 5 to cap off a great comeback against a feisty Bir Seb’a team.

LAST WK: 4

Mahrooz said no jumper, no problem. This man is like Lebron driving down the lane. 26 points on 12-14 shooting is a crazy statline. Omar Singer helped them run away with it pouring in his own 17 points on 50% shooting. Can they keep it up when a 6 foot 8 giant is roaming the paint next week? Stay tuned to find out.

Side note, Farhan, I know you're the ultimate hype man but stop yelling on the sidelines all game and get yourself a bucket my guy. It's long overdue.

Mohamed Albana securing a double double is almost guaranteed at this point. Also, don’t overlook the fact that Ryan Albana finally had an efficient shooting night, with 10 points on 4-6 shooting. Maybe Mohamed finally got through to his younger brother. If they can keep this up, they’re going to be a scary matchup for anyone in the league.

This loss was expected as they only had 4 players. Shawn is a lights out shooter but can’t seem to get himself signed up on the stat sheet. Mohamed Amin was causing problems down low, and the 13 boards shown on the stat sheet don’t show how big of a problem he was for Akka. Still, only losing by 10 points is impressive.

Tough loss as they were neck and neck almost all game. Messiah with his typical 15 points and 14 boards. Unfortunately they did not take advantage of Yazur not having Surakata by having Messiah live in the paint. Shooting 5 threes shows that the rest of the Yazur squad made him uncomfortable. Let’s see if they can learn from this when they go up against a smaller Tiberias team next week.

New roster so definitely some kinks they need to work out. Alassane couldn’t get it going all game, shooting 1-10 from the field. Come on time guys, can’t blame the loss on not warming up when you can, you know, just leave earlier… In all seriousness though, with a full roster this squad is a scary matchup. Only time will tell how they mesh together.

No Big Moose leads to Big Problems for this team. There was also some inner turmoil that was coming to the surface which is not a good sign. Maybe Moose can come back next week and right the ship, because they should not be 2-4 with this roster.

Also Ehsan, you’re a hooper, but stop arguing with the ref every time you miss a shot and get back on defense...

Wow, 2 wins on the board for Akka in 1 season. Brand new Akka?? Asterisk on this win as they went up against a 4-man team, but they can only play who’s in front of them. Shooting 46% as a team is also impressive, given the fact how much iso ball this team has played in previous weeks. The turnovers were still a problem though. Let’s see if they can carry this ball sharing momentum into next week and actually show us they are a brand new Akka team.

Bir Seb'a

LAST WK: 10

Ok this team's record does not reflect how good they actually are. Putting up a strong fight against a top team in the league just supports that statement. Zayed finally having a good shooting night shooting 6-12 from the field and 4-9 from three. If they carry this development of chemistry forward and string a few wins together, they can make some noise in the playoffs.

I know they feel like this was a “we should’ve won this game” game. Close first half as usual, but they just can’t figure it out in the second half. Usama showed out with 22 points on 50% shooting. If 1 person can step up as a playmaker on this team they can definitely get a few wins together.
