LAST WK: 1

Death, Taxes and the Yanes family finding a way to win another basketball game. This one was on the shoulders of none other than Big Moose, who led the way with 25 and 15 on 45% from the field. Despite being the only player who scored double figures the rest of the crew did their jobs and contained everyone on Qalqilya not named Shahzaib.

LAST WK: 2

Sure they lost but they went up against the number one seed and fought back in the second half. Shahzaib did his job against one of the best defensive backcourts but needed more help from the rest of his mates. 1-8, 2-13, 2-13 and 5-16 wont cut it, but I don’t see that happening again.

Ramallah

LAST WK: 3

This team is so deep and on a night where Jay struggled, Anas Zubi carried the load and hit the go ahead 3, with a little over a minute left in the game. Rookie Khaled Musbeh had 13 points and Salman grabbed another 16 rebounds because why not. This team is knocking on the door of being a top 2 team. Next week against the Yanes family should be fun.

The Avengers have been streaky but they are terrifying when everyone is on their A game. Mahdy with 18 and 10 but Ali Suiafan was the star of the show with 23 points on 8-8 from the field. Not to mention Shafic was HOOPIN! Only thing left to figure out is which one of these guys is Black Widow.

5
Khan Yunis

LAST WK: 5

Another tough loss against a formidable foe. Khan Yunis has the star power to compete with anyone but lack size upfront. Mr. XXL tee with another 20 point game. Ammar and Kareem need to figure out a way to get the shiesty going on because 0-7 is something I never thought I’d see.

Al-Wehdat

LAST WK: 7

Another tight one for Al-Wehdat and it took all hands on deck to get this win. They had 4 players in double digits and contained Ali Hassan to 6-17 from the field. Two of their next three games are extremely winnable games.

3rd loss this season of single digits and second in a row without Moayad. No one was efficient from the field and they couldn’t contain the Ramallah guards. They certainly can win their next matchup but they need to clean up a few things offensively. Maybe Mr. Passion, Momo can help out.

Al-Balah

LAST WK: 11

Another team that got into the win column after what has been a horrendous start to their season. Question: Has there been anyone playing better than Hassan this season? 28.4 pgg on 44% from the field and close to 9 rebounds and 4 assists. He’s doing this all while being the opposition's main focus on defense. Nice to see signs of life from Elias, Idris and others. Maybe Al-Balah can save their seasons after all.

This team is far too talented to be 2-5. I am running out of excuses to give them.

Wow, they got a win. But can they turn it into a win streak?

They were without Farhad but nonetheless the matchup was still in their favorable. Aadil had 17 and Ali Mahin added 12 of his own. They should be back in the win column with Farhad back.
