Down as much as 12 in the 1st half, but that didn’t faze them. Big Moose told his fam to follow his lead and that’s exactly what they did. Musa led Yaffa with 20 points. Elias with 13 and the backcourt of Habi and Yahya continue to make it difficult for opposing guards. They remain at one for now, but Qalqilya is coming.

MVP, MVP, MVP! Shahzaib Khas with a smooth 30 points to lead the charge for Qalqilya. Zubidi added 18 and 14, Kareem had 12 and Deep with 15 and 15. This team is having fun playing basketball and winning games by a healthy margin. S/o to captain Mustafa!

All this to beat the Yanes family??? Na, I just wanted to gas them up. But on a serious note, the Avengers have been assembled. Madhy, Ahmad, Shafic and Ali Suiafan and whoever else you want to throw out there is without a doubt the most skilled starting five. It took overtime to sneak outta this one with a win, but I believe with time, the chemistry will be established, and blow outs will be a plenty.

Ramallah

LAST WK: 3

The Bigs picked up the production for Ramallah, with Khalied and Salman combining for 29 of the team’s 56 points. Anas and Jihad struggled in this one and that probably won’t happen again this season as both guards have shown to be hyper efficient. They should be back in the win column next week.

Khan Yunis

LAST WK: 6

It's not an Ammar Mustafa led team without Singer leading the point, so that's exactly who Khan Yunis wanted to acquire over the weekend. Unfortunately, Singer and the rest of Khan Yunis had no answer for Musa and Yaffa. I wouldn't count these guys out for long, as they are led by Mr. XXL tee and the Shiesty.

Another GM who broke the soundwaves with the trade heard around the MB world. But based on the eye test, it benefitted the overall team. Even shot distribution as well as 19 assists as a unit is impressive.

Winners of two in a row and now that trade looks like robbery. Amir Hassan led all scorers with 22 points on 9-12 from the field. Towfeek engineered the office quiet nicely and got all his guys involved. Jojo had 14, Khaled had a double-double and Nader had 9 of his own. They knew who they had to neutralize on Safad, and they did just that.

Back in the win column, after losing two in a row, and it the recipe appeared simple. Give Mahrooz the rock and get outta the way. Moayad looked the best he has since preinjury. Zain also added 19 and 11 of his own. This team is still missing a perimeter threat, and I am know they hope OH returns to form.

Arguably the most confusing team on a week-to-week basis. One week they look poised and cannot miss. The other they look like they are playing hero ball and don’t want to get rid of the basketball. Too much talent to not figure it out.

It was nice to see Koyas and Deeb perform this game, but Malik and Lil O were nonexistent. They have yet to have a game where all four are clicking on all cylinders.

They played great in the first half and matched up with Al-Quds extremely well, until Mahrooz went game breaker mode. At least they got someone other than Hassan scoring this week. Hopefully that continues when Omar Qasem returns.
