The Yanes family doesn’t like to lose and hasn’t done so since they joined forces a few seasons back. On a night where Big Moose struggled from the field, it was the supporting cast that carried the load. Elias Shahsamand with 19 and 11 against Zain and Mahrooz is quite impressive. And let’s not forget this man was taken in the 4th round……. |

First off, Shahzaib is the smoothest hooper in this league. That behind the back layup through two defenders was filthy! Second, special shout out to Kareem Ahmed. He was found the fountain of youth at the ripe age of 30, while managing 30 bodegas. Keep hoopin fam! Coach Mustafa has done a fantastic job with this group and should be 4-0 by the end of next week. |

22 assists as a team in MB is absurd!!! This team is extremely unselfish and is playing great basketball as a unit. They had five guys in double figures, and we’ve set to see that monster game from Anas or Jihad. Khalied Saleh and Salman have been great down low, and I think the newly acquired Himey will acclimate just fine. |

It was a star-studded matchup, but one team had to come out on top. Shafic with his usual stat line and Jake did his thing as well. I would like to see them get more out of Ali Omari and Moe Rayyan, as the latter has shown the propensity to win a game with his shooting alone. Nothing to worry about, as this team has an abundance of talent. |

They had their entire squad together and they meshed very well. Farhad’s secret to his continued success? Avocado ice cream and Bamya. Totally kidding about the Bamya part. But the MB Goat sure made things easy for his team. Raj Patel had 18, Aadil with 17 and Ali Mahi knocked down 4 from downtown. Nice to see the young buck Medo Zubi more involved this week as well. |

– Did Qibya outplay them? Yes. Are they better team? I don’t think so. Khan Yunis has far too much offensive talent to be concerned and I believe this performance was an anomaly. Outside of Amir C, they shot 9-40 as a team. I expect Joe Shiesty to come out next week firing on all cylinders and leading the charge for a bounce back win. |

Losers of two in a row, Team Yamin could be in the market for another playmaker to help take the load off Raza. Ahmad Chaabane came to life in the second half and Mahdy did his usual work but they needed more from the rest of the squad. They do lack some depth but that’s something coach Yamin has to figure out. |

After hearing a week’s worth of scrutiny for dealing away his 1st round pick, Towfeek and the crew are finally in the win column. Coach Feek and the newly acquired Jojo led the way with 16 a piece, while Amir Hassan had 15 points on 50% from the field. With solid contributors like he Elsammak brothers and Khaled Sehwail, I like the new build of this team. |

Hooray, Omar and Malik remembered how to shoot a basketball. Jokes aside, the two guards found their stride in the midst of a two-game losing streak and led the way for Safad’s first win of the season. Lil O with 21, 7 and 5 is a stat line worthy of POTW. |

On a two-game skid and another potential team that could be desperate to make a move with the trade deadline approaching. They need spacing and another guard who can create their own shot. They did go up against a stellar defensive unit, but that’s now back-to-back weeks where they have yet to score more than 43 points. Could help be on the way? |

The much-anticipated debut of Singer was upon us last night, and all eyes were on how he and Hassan would mesh. Personally, it may not be an ideal fit as both guards want the ball in their hands, and rightfully so. Hassan was 10-21 and had a game high 24, while Singer only took 9 shot attempts. A trade could be looming, or they may have to get things situated before the team folds. |

Burj Al Mana has been relocated to Nablus and may have had some renovations done, because 26 and 20 isn’t normal. Nablus is struggling and even MB legend AMP couldn’t get them in the win column. |
