After the butt whooping they were handed last night, would it be wrong if we awarded Pete Brown the MVP trophy for how much he means to this group? I overheard Lil O call Sabra the new Uber Eats, since they were getting what they wanted and when they wanted all game. But despite the loss, no Pete Brown is big and I don’t have it in me to drop them. |

Ohhhh this game was a good one. Double OT and who better than your best player to call “night, night” and go home with a W. Shafic with 22 points 5 rebounds 3 assist and 4 steals. Koyas and Towfeek each added 13 of their own. Suban’Allah how playing team basketball results in a win. |

Yes, I know, they didn’t have Sohaib, but I didn’t have my Fruitty pebbles this morning but you don’t see me complaining. But despite the absence of their star guard, the big guns did show out and played exceptionally. Zain had 18 and 12, Jared with 19 and 14, and Sal added 17 of his own, including 3 from downtown. No reason to panic in Baysan. |

Ramla did something, practically no team has done and that is defeat a full attendance Yanes led squad. Let me just take the time to highlight Shahzaib’s delightful taste in cologne as well as basketball repertoire. Burooj Al-Mana did not have the most efficient game but 10 and 15 is still a great stat line, as did Khaled Sehwail with 13 and 10 of his own. And they got a win without Hassan Farhat doing much in the boxscore. Job well done boys. |

Free Moose! I don’t want to ever see a boxscore where Musa Yanes is not leading the team in shot attempts. I think only a handful of guys in the league deserve that kind of respect and Mr. Yanes is one of them. Still, props to Ramla for containing the superstar big but regardless, buddy is 6’3 with a handle and scat. Who knows maybe had he shot more, it would have been a different story. |

Unlike the NYG from 2016, this team seemed to have benefited from a boat trip. Hassan Chaabane looks rejuvenated scoring a season high 33 points with 6 rebounds 5 assists and 3 steals. Booking a cruise midseason is the closest thing to a Dennis Rodman going to Vegas that we will see in MB. Back to ball, Mahdy scored 15, as we still await for a consistent third option from Bethlehem to emerge. |

Captain America, aka Singer is missing in action for this one, but it did result in a vintage game from Mahrooz. The reigning ROY had 25, 9 and 7 on 10-18 from the field. John Wiz scored 22 points on 8-16 and Moe Dirt had 21 of his own. This team has had one tough schedule and I can safely say they will be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time. |

How do you snap out of a shooting slump? Just strap up and knock down 9 of dem things from the great beyond. Lil O looked like a man on a mission with a season 35 points. Mustafa Abbassi was the second leading scorer for Al-Quds with 24 points on 6-11 from 3 and Amir had 16 of his own. I don’t foresee their big 3 scoring 75 points in a game again but hey it was a heck of a performance. |

Actions speak louder than words, and that is saying something because this group does not stop shouting. Yaffa locked up the league’s best player and played great team basketball throughout the duration of the game. Ehsan Popal with a game high 27 points on 9-14 from the field, including 6 from deep. Oh yeah, they got the win without AMP. Yaffa is rollin’ right now. |

Did Yaffa give us the formula to stopping “Ty the Guy” Jackson, or was it just one of those games? I am not sure but it sure seemed contagious. Ty was 2-10 from 3, Malik was 3-10 from 3 and Medo was 1-4. Anytime your three best scorers struggle to that extent, the game is essentially over. Mo Amin was the lone bright spot with 21 and 12 but this team is on a two game skid, at the wrong time. |

A win is a win but I expected them to play a better game, against a less superior Qibya squad. Consistency or the lack thereof rather has been the theme for this squad as they haven’t been able to find consecutive games where their main guys were all clicking. But if there is anything I know about an Abbassi led team, a win is a win. |

No one on this team even reads what I write about them. But because I was raised to respect my elders, y’all looked pretty good out there. S/o Jason Marshall with a game high of 24 points. Hi AFay :). |

Has Captain Abdelghani discovered the recipe to success? Jenin, winners of two in a row, seem to be playing some cohesive basketball. Jake was the leading scorer with 20 points 9-17 from the field, with Ian scoring 13 of his own. Also received solid contributions from Splash, Hamza as well as Raj. Could Jenin be on the come up? |

Their two leading scorers have a combined age of 80……. And unfortunately, if we were to convert that to points, they still would have lost. Shatila is in desperate need of a win, and a sip from the fountain of youth. But 25 a piece from Ed and Farhad is quite impressive. |

Haifa ya Haifa, where art thou Haifa. Four of their last 5 losses have been single digits. It’s not like they don’t have talent, they just can’t seem to hold onto a lead or finish out a game. I think part of the reason is because they haven’t quite figured out who the closer is and who should be responsible for handling the ball in tight situations. |

Another team at risk of missing the playoffs but if they could squeeze out just one more win, they would almost clinch a playoff spot, the way the bottom seeds have looked. |

This was their closest chance at a win all season and now they are at risk of not making the playoffs. |
