it didn't look like (to me at least) granada took advantage of their size on the offensive end, I didn't even know balawal was playing at times, not a good sign. There comes a time where you need to recognize your strengths and exploit the mismatch, having played and beat that team with hassan I speak from experience (down 16 at half time, pounding them downlow in the 2nd half to win). Good effort to both teams, you guys played your butts off. This is the reason why we lost. Not because of Ahmad Hassan. We expected him to do his thing. We had no big man presence on offense and Especially defense. Ahmad was driving in as if it was an open lane every play. Yamin can't do it alone. It's not his fault. It's unfortunate though because our big man presence has been there before, I've seen it, and when it's there people couldn't drive on us, but it just wasn't there when we needed it most. Then again, not everybody is Ahmad Hassan lol. Ahmad really nasty though. Edited by user Thursday, July 29, 2010 9:16:28 AM(UTC)

I remember in one of our tournaments he went baseline and threw down a left handed dunk on a 7 foot dude and completely posterized him...that was one of the most insane things I ever saw in real life on the basketball court... |
#7 on Cordoba May Allah increase love, respect, and unity between all of us through the trash talking and intensity of this game!!!

Thanks for the very kind words fellas. My stamina sucks though, and thats the first thing I'll be working on in preparation for the winter league. Anyway since the start of the year Cordobas been inisisting that they're not a one-man team, and they proved it on Sunday. Last time I had a bitter playoff loss I knew it was BS and the better team didn't win. This time though I can't say anything. You guys are the better team. Inshallah you'll go all the way. That'll at least make us look a little better. qman612 wrote:one comment I will make about that game:

Our problem was our porous defense. You can't trade baskets with a team and expect to win. Especially a team that relies so heavily on three's like Cordoba. You need big stops, and we didn't get any. Play of the game was when Cordob'a center got that tough layup over Ed. I thought we played decent defense up to that point and when he scored like that it was devestating.

qman612 wrote:true, they didn't have akbar and amre... we were also missing our best scorer, puneet... Yeah man we could have really used them against you guys in that second half. I can't believe we blew that 16 point lead.
