This Week's Spotlight: Pakistan Floods Crisis Response

Over 1000 are dead. The monsoons that have been ravaging Pakistan since June have permanently changed millions of lives for the worse. Since the start of the monsoon season, Pakistan has received 60% of its total average monsoon rainfall in just three weeks. Heavy rains have caused urban and flash floods, landslides, and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) throughout Pakistan, most notably in Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.

Due to this, Jhal Magsi, Khuzdar, Pishin, Lasbela, Naushki, Killa Abdullah, Killa Saifullah, and Naseerabad were the worst affected.

Recent rains in Sindh have resulted in flush floods and affected most districts.
