Week 8 3-5 3

Have to give them some credit here. Despite a double digit loss, these guys can complete. They were within 6-8 points most of the game and a couple of bounces their way and this could have gotten a lot more interesting. Props to their defense for holding Sheikh Jarrah to 39 points only. They made a trade after the game, moving Haseeb Malik for Ahmar Ashraf. Change of scenery might benefit both players, and maybe help build some unity. They end the season against Lod and need a win to get their confidence back heading into the playoffs.

Week 7 3-4 3

After sleeping through the first third of the season (0-3), they have played lights out with an impressing 3 game win streak. The 3 wins came against Ramallah, Lod and Deir Yassin. Yes - those arent the top teams in the league and each of them were missing starting players, but if you watched the games they had complete control on both sides of the ball. They seem to have found their chemistry and started to click on all cylinders. Just when everything seemed to be clicking, they lost to an Anwar-less Nazareth in week 7. They are currently 3-4 and face Sheikh Jarrah next week. We might see them drop to 4th in the power rankings if they can't get the full team to show up to games.

Week 4 1-3 4

They have awoken. With no Ayan they went out and handled business. This is the youth team I was expecting in week 1, but we had to wait till week 4 to get it. I still think they're better than this. Maaz M had a great day today 17 pts, 10 rb. I'm just happy these guys finally got it on track for a win and honestly, I hope they can keep the momentum and start putting together some wins back to back now.

Week 3 0-3 6

ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring banana phoooooooone. where ya at youth team? Slept right through week 3 matchup literally. Besides the weak performances through 2 weeks, this one was just embarrassing. Missing Ayan Khan in week 4 will make that game even harder. Gotta admit, I was NOT expecting a 0-3 start for the youth team.

Week 2 0-2 5

0-2 but there seems to be a light the end of the tunnel for this team. First of all, Hakeem Malik has got to be in the MVP conversation. If this team stopped selling games he'd be #1. He's averaging 20 PPG on 66% from the field and 36% from 3. Tiberias just came out super flat and lethargic this week, but, they showed a bright spot towards the end of this one where they went on a huge run, bringing it back to a 5-point game. Too little too late though as Nazareth was able to secure the victory. It's all about attitude with this team, if they have the right attitude out of the gate, they're more like a 3rd seed than the 6th seed they are now. Only winless team. Key contributions from Hakeem M and Ayan K..

Week 1 0-1 5

Tiberias is in a rough place. A demoralizing loss to Sheikh Jarrah in week 1.There's a couple of issues here but we'll start with size. When Abdul Wadhud was on the court, they couldn't stop him, barbecue chicken. Then there's the issue of Captain, Ayan Khan's health, we've been hearing reports that he may be on concussion protocol for the next few weeks. That leaves this team in a really bad spot without their leader and point guard. They're gonna struggle in the next couple weeks, we'll see if they can find the resiliency to come away with a win or 2. Key contribution from Hakeem Malik who scored 23 this week.

Preseason 0-0 2

You ever play against these guys? If you haven't, let me just explain it briefly. They fly. These dudes have a ton of chemistry, a lot of experience playing together, and a ton of youth. Led by their captain Ayan Khan, there's really not much these guys can't do, shooting? They've got it. Rebounding? No one crashes like these guys. Ball movement is never a problem here either. The only weakness I see here is the potential of getting bullied by some bigger teams. I love the additions of veterans Nagi, Qasim, and Salmaan, and we all know the twins can wreak havoc on games when they're on. Gonna be a tough team to beat.
