RANK TEAM / RECORD CHANGE COMMENTS

Hard not to rank them at #1 this early. The Ahmad brother combo has proven deadly through the last couple of seasons where they've abused teams with their size and scoring ability. Paired with some great picks like Matt L who can really rack up the rebounds and put-backs. This team seems to have it all. I really like the role players on this team, I don't see anyone on the roster who is a liability on the court which is really important with only 8 player rosters.

You ever play against these guys? If you haven't, let me just explain it briefly. They fly. These dudes have a ton of chemistry, a lot of experience playing together, and a ton of youth. Led by their captain Ayan Khan, there's really not much these guys can't do, shooting? They've got it. Rebounding? No one crashes like these guys. Ball movement is never a problem here either. The only weakness I see here is the potential of getting bullied by some bigger teams. I love the additions of veterans Nagi, Qasim, and Salmaan, and we all know the twins can wreak havoc on games when they're on. Gonna be a tough team to beat.

Built by Yaseen Zohny, Lod clearly prioritized shooting in the draft, scooping up rookies Ethan Loevy and Dawud Cornett for their shooting acumen. What makes this team so good is the variety of abilities on this roster, James N and Uthmaan M on the block will be tough to stop. Plus the combo of Yaseen and Ghaos cutting and attacking the rim will create problems for weak perimeter defenders (looking at you Sheikh Jarrah). I could see this team shooting its way out of some wins. They have maybe the most boom or bust potential in the league as far as I can see.

I love the team Usman built, veteran players, with an injection of youth. Shooting, defense, and rebounding are all at a premium on this team. They're gonna score a lot, and they're gonna be tough to score against. For that reason, I've got them at 4 going into week 1. I'm interested to see how Saad Q blends into this new team, he can sometimes get overzealous and shoot his team out of games, but, he's deadly when he plays his game. The core of this team is strong, Usman, Yasin, Wasay, David F just to mention a few. I'm excited to watch this team, and they could definitely be one of the big movers going into week 2 or 3 depending on performance.

Captain Monim Khan has built a strong team here. Championed by his first pick of the draft, Abdul Wadud Surin, the rookie who's made a lot of impressions in his limited showings. Monim supplemented this team with some great mid-round picks, Andy C. L Keita and Saad Afzal just to mention a few. I think perimeter scoring and defense are gonna be a huge point of focus for this team. It'll be tough for them to chase around some of the other teams like Tiberias who have a ton of youth and energy. It just feels like there's so many unknowns here with this team, especially having drafted a rookie with the #1 pick. I've got them at 5 entering week 1, but definitely a chance for some great upside.

Farhad went all in with his first 2 picks, former MVP Drew Mohr is obviously the engine here. Drew is a great player, and maybe even more importantly a great leader. This will be a huge prove-it season for him though, as he will be leading a weak overall roster into the season. Abdul-Rahman Husain is also going to be trusted with a larger workload as he was picked 7th overall in the draft. I worry a lot about the depth here. Again, as mentioned earlier, only 8 players on a roster, everyone is going to get minutes, and I see some liabilities on the team. It'll be important for those guys to play to the best of their abilities, otherwise, I'm worried we're looking at a 1 man army here. How many wins can that top 3 will them to?
